Charles Dickens's Hard Times (1854) stands as a seminal work of Victorian literature, offering a stark, realistic portrayal of industrial society, utilitarianism, and class struggles in mid-19th-century England. This research paper examines how Dickens employs realism to critique the dehumanizing effects of industrialization, the rigid, fact-based education system, and the exploitation of the working class in the fictional town of Coketown. Through characters like Thomas Gradgrind, Josiah Bounderby, Stephen Blackpool, and Louisa Gradgrind, Dickens illustrates the conflict between fact and fancy, heart and head, highlighting the emotional and social toll of a mechanized world. Key quotations, such as Gradgrind's insistence on "Facts alone are wanted in life" (Dickens 1), underscore the novel's critique of utilitarianism. Drawing on close textual analysis and scholarly perspectives, the paper argues that Dickens's realism not only reflects historical realities but also advocates for human compassion and imagination as antidotes to societal ills. Findings reveal the novel's enduring relevance in discussions of capitalism and education, with suggestions for future research including comparative studies with other industrial novels.

D.malerkotliana, like other Drosophila species, is a powerful model organism widely used to investigate conserved molecular pathways relevant to human conditions such as cancer, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular disease thanks to high genetic conservation and versatile genetic tool. This study evaluates the effects of 50 Hz LF-EMF exposure on a spectrum of behavioural traits in D. malerkotliana, including larval crawling, adult locomotion, climbing, courtship behaviour, and aggression. Flies were subjected to LF-EMF exposure administered via a Holzmolt coil for both short- and long-term time frames. Behavioural metrics were recorded using established methods, including larval crawling grid tracking, the Rapid Iterative Negative Geotaxis (RING) climbing assay, and time-based interaction assays for courtship and aggression. LF-EMF exposure induced significant, exposure duration dependent reductions in larval crawling and adult climbing ability, with male flies exhibiting heightened sensitivity. Courtship behaviours declined progressively with prolonged exposure, suggesting reproductive disruption, while aggression displayed an initial surge (particularly in males) followed by a decline, possibly due to neuromodulator depletion. Collectively, these findings suggest that LF-EMF exposure impairs neural and behavioural function in D. malerkotliana, potentially through mechanisms involving oxidative stress, neurotransmitter dysregulation, and sex-specific resilience differences. These results underscore the value of D. malerkotliana as a model for assessing EMF-induced neurobehavioral toxicity and environmental stress responses.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a structured teaching programme on selected health problems namely head lice infestation, scabies, typhoid fever, worm infestation, hepatitis A, and iron deficiency anemia among orphan children in Nagpur Maharashtra.. Using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design, the knowledge and practices of 100 orphan children aged 12-15 years were assessed before and after the intervention. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires and dichotomous practice questionnaires. The findings revealed that the majority of children had inadequate knowledge and practices before the intervention, but showed significant improvement after exposure to the structured teaching programme. Statistical analysis using paired 't' test confirmed a highly significant difference (p < 0.05) between pre-test and post-test scores. The study concludes that structured teaching programmes can effectively improve knowledge and practices among orphan children, thereby contributing to better health outcomes and well-being.

A plethora of hormones regulate many of the body's functions, including growth and development, metabolism, electrolyte balances, and reproduction. Numerous glands throughout the body produce hormones. The hypothalamus produces several releasing and inhibiting hormones that act on the pituitary gland, stimulating the release of pituitary hormones. Of the pituitary hormones, several act on other glands located in various regions of the body, whereas other pituitary hormones directly affect their target organs. Other hormone-producing glands throughout the body include the adrenal glands, which primarily produce cortisol; the gonads (i.e., ovaries and testes), which produce sex hormones; the thyroid, which produces thyroid hormone; the parathyroid, which produces parathyroid hormone; and the pancreas, which produces insulin and glucagon. Many of these hormones are part of regulatory hormonal cascades involving a hypothalamic hormone, one or more pituitary hormones, and one or more target gland hormones.

This paper introduces ChatXpert, an AI chatbot system that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enable smooth, human-like conversations on many topics. In today's fast-changing digital world, where AIdriven chat systems are essential for modern infrastructure, ChatXpert stands [1] out by providing communication that is both efficient and intelligent. It bridges the gap between humans and machines. ChatXpert is designed to understand, interpret, and generate natural language. This ability allows it to perform many tasks, such as accurately answering user questions, offering customer service help, providing [2] personalized recommendations, and automating routine tasks. To achieve these interactions, ChatXpert uses a set of NLP techniques. These include intent recognition (identifying the user's goal), named entity recognition (NER) (spotting key information like names, dates, and locations), sentiment analysis (grasping the emotional tone of the conversation), and strong contextual understanding [3] (keeping the conversation coherent). The system combines machine learning models and rule-based logic, creating a hybrid approach that improves its adaptability and performance over time. The flexibility of ChatXpert means it can be applied across many industries. In e-commerce, it can handle customer inquiries and recommend products. In education, it might help students with learning materials or answer administrative questions. For healthcare, it could provide initial symptom assessments or guide patients to useful information. In finance, it could assist with balance inquiries or transaction details. In human resources, it could simplify onboarding or answer HR policy questions. It can [12] also improve experiences in travel (booking help, destination info) and entertainment (content recommendations, event details). This paper shows how using modern AI and NLP can improve user interaction and engagement through advanced automated dialogue systems.

Diabetes mellitus is a rapidly increasing global health concern, necessitating the development of functional foods that promote glycemic control without compromising nutritional quality. The present study aimed to formulate and evaluate a diabetic-friendly energy bar using natural, nutrient-rich ingredients. The bar was developed with raw jackfruit powder as a low-glycemic carbohydrate base, complemented by palm sugar and date syrup for natural sweetness. A combination of chia seeds, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds was incorporated to enhance dietary fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential micronutrients, while oats provided ?-glucan for improved glucose regulation. Peanuts served as a source of plant-based protein and healthy fats, supporting satiety and energy balance. The formulated bar was characterized for its proximate composition, nutrient density, and potential glycemic response. Results indicated that the product is high in fiber, protein, and bioactive compounds, with reduced glycemic impact compared to conventional snack bars. Its formulation makes it particularly suitable for individuals with hyperphagia, as well as for those following diet-focused or calorie-conscious lifestyles. Furthermore, its gluten-free and organic composition enhances its applicability for diabetic individuals and the wider health-conscious population. Overall, this study highlights the potential of utilizing locally available ingredients such as jackfruit to create sustainable, functional snack products that address the dual challenges of nutritional security and lifestyle-related diseases.
