The historical journey of the Northeast India to its integration into the Indian Union, tracing back to the region's transformation from a tapestry of diverse cultures and princely states to an integral part of the nation. Beginning with a backdrop of the pre-colonial era, where myriad tribes and kingdoms flourished, navigating through the colonial period's impact on the region's sociopolitical landscape. The pivotal moment of India's independence in 1947 catalysed a series of significant events that shaped the region's fate. This study meticulously examines the Partition's repercussions on Northeast India, positioned itself to amidst several international borders. It also investigates the decisions of the princely states to accede to the Indian Union, analysing the multifaceted factors that influenced these important choices. As Northeast India embarked on its post-independence formation, the formation of states such as Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim unfolded against a backdrop of diverse cultural, linguistic, and ethnic identities. The dissertation scrutinizes the nuanced constitutional provisions safeguarding the unique status of states like Nagaland and Mizoram, preserving their cultural and administrative autonomy. With accordance to this study, important challenges post-independence, including insurgency movements and ethnic conflicts, are thoroughly examined alongside the Indian government's efforts to address these complexities. Special provisions like the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) are scrutinized within the context of maintaining security and stability in the region. This study culminates in an exploration of the contemporary landscape of Northeast India, offering insights into the region's current political, social, and economic dynamics. By meticulously documenting this chronology, this dissertation sheds light on the enduring significance of understanding Northeast India's integration into India for national unity, diversity, and the challenges that persist in this vibrant and diverse region.

Karyological characters of Schizothorax richardsonii in Kosi River in ,Uttrakhand (India) were studied by examining metaphase chromosome spreads from the kidney tissues. The examination of 80 metaphases spread prepared from 20 fingerling specimens indicated that the chromosome numbers of this species was found 2n=92 and the arm number was determined as NF=122. The prepared karyotype of this species consisted of 9 pairs of metacentric (m), 14 pairs submetacentric (sm) and 25 pairs subtelocentric (st) chromosomes. The chromosome formula can be stated as 2n = 9m + 14sm + 25st.Karyological parameters showed that centromeric index, arm ratio, relative length and so length variation range of chromosomes of the fish were between 25.00 - 49.24, 1.03 - 3.55, 0.88 - 4.13 and 14.57 - 67.70 respectively and total length of chromosome was 1639.16?m. The largest chromosome in this species was a pair of the submetacentric chromosome. The sex chromosomes were cytologically indistinguishable. With respect to the number of chromosomes and resistant of this fish to the environmental conditions, it seems to be tetra ploid origin fish.

: Gastroretentive dosage forms have potential for use as controlled-release drug delivery systems. Drugs with narrow absorption window and has highest solubility in gastric region are feasible for designing the floating drug delivery system. Ranitidine hydrochloride is histamine H2-receptor foe. It is broadly recommended in component duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison issue, gastroesophageal reflux sickness, and erosive esophagitis. This study portrays preparation and appraisal of skimming matrix tablet of ranitidine in perspective of low thickness copolymer that holds estimations outline in stomach. Provide extended gastric living game plan time achieving drawn out pharmaceutical movement in gastrointestinal tract using chitosan and carbopol 940 as bolster release polymers. In overnight fasting condition the tablets emptied the stomach after 2 hrs of administration. This might be due to rapid gastric motility and insufficient resting volume of the stomach for the tablets to float in the stomach. But in fed condition, the same tablets showed a gastric residence time of more than 4.5 hrs. Hence the prepared tablet enhances the bioavailability making it as promising drug delivery system

In the face of escalating environmental challenges, organizations are increasingly turning to Green Human Resource Management (HRM) practices as a means to foster sustainability within their operations. This paper explores the evolving role of Green HRM in driving organizational sustainability, synthesizing theoretical perspectives, empirical findings, and practical implications from existing literature. Theoretical frameworks such as institutional theory, stakeholder theory, and resource-based view provide a foundation for understanding the motivations, mechanisms, and outcomes associated with the adoption of Green HRM practices. Empirical evidence suggests that Green HRM practices can positively influence organizational outcomes, including environmental performance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. However, challenges such as resistance from employees and managers, lack of awareness or understanding of sustainability issues, and resource constraints may impede the implementation and effectiveness of Green HRM practices. Recommendations for practitioners and policymakers include integrating sustainability into HRM policies and practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, aligning sustainability goals with organizational strategy, and engaging stakeholders in sustainability initiatives. By adopting these recommendations, organizations can enhance the effectiveness of Green HRM practices and contribute to the transition towards more sustainable organizations. Overall, this paper highlights the transformative potential of Green HRM in advancing organizational sustainability and addressing the pressing environmental challenges of the 21st century.

Increase in the atmospheric mean temperature is mainly due to emission of green house gases (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), ozone (O3), nitrous oxide, chlorofluoro carbons (CFCs)) by anthropogenic (Eitzinger et al., 2010) and agricultural systems (Smith and Olesen 2010). Black gram [Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper] is a tropical leguminous plant, popularly known as Urd bean or Mash in India. Black gram is very nutritious as it contains high levels of protein. Plants improve protective mechanism of heat stress responses encompassing different pathways that provide tolerance during HT stress. Plants adapt tolerance to high temperature stress by inherent basal level as well as acquired (Hikosaka et al., 2006). Tolerance limits vary between genotypes, but are also subject to acclimation (Weis et al., 1988). TIR (Temperature Induction Response) is a potential and versatile one for identifying highly thermo-tolerant genotype from a large population (Srikantbabu et al., 2002). SODs play a significant role in protecting lysing cells against the toxicity and mutagenicity of active 02 species by virtue of their capacity to scavenge the 02.- (Sandalios, 2001). Enzymatic test was made to resistant (LBG-806) and susceptible variety (LBG-823) of control, lethal (non-induced) and induced treatments of at 0th, 1st, 2nd and 3rd day seedlings. There was no significant difference was found between control and non-induced treatments in any day. In contrast rise in content in induction treatment over control was significantly different at (P<=0.01) in all days.
