Abstract: This project proposes the development of a home automation system using Wi-Fi and ESP8266. The system will allow users to control various household appliances such as lights, fans, air conditioners, and electronic devices using their smartphones or other connected devices. The proposed system will use the ESP8266 microcontroller, which has Wi-Fi capabilities, to connect to the internet and receive commands from the user's device. The system will use a web interface that will allow users to control and monitor their devices remotely. The web interface will be hosted on a local server, and the system will use MQTT protocol for data communication.

One of the most common invasive medical procedures is peripheral intravenous cannulation, which has some risks and potential complications. This study aimed to empower the nurses on IV Cannulation to ensure that the patient experiences minimal discomfort during the procedure by accomplishing it successfully with a single needle prick. The sample size was 1125 nurses who were trained and were included in both pre and post-training practice checks. Nurses' knowledge, practice, and competency regarding these procedural skills were assessed. Considering the study findings, it was observed that the campaign aids in enhancing Nursing skills in IV Cannulation from 21% (pre-campaign) to 89% (post-campaign), reducing the number of patient complaints, and also enhanced patient satisfaction scores from 74.5% to 80.6%.

This study delves into the complex interplay between mental well-being and professional engagement among working women, given their increasing presence in the workforce. Modern workplaces impose significant pressure on women as they balance career, family, and societal expectations, often resulting in heightened stress levels and mental health challenges like anxiety and depression, impacting job performance and satisfaction. Workplace cultures and policies, including discrimination and limited career opportunities, further shape the mental health landscape for working women, necessitating inclusive and supportive environments to foster positive outcomes. Recognizing the intersectionality of mental health and gender, the study advocates for a comprehensive approach involving workplace wellness programs, destigmatizing mental health discourse, and advocating for work-life balance policies. Prioritizing the mental well-being of working women not only benefits individual success but also contributes to a more equitable and sustainable professional environment, thus advancing societal progress. This research seeks to illuminate the nuanced influence of mental health factors on working women's professional engagement, providing actionable insights for organizations, policymakers, and stakeholders to promote mental well-being in the workplace.

The present study aimed to design and evaluate a buccal patch for the transmucosal delivery of nateglinide, a hypoglycemic agent, to provide a non-invasive and patient-friendly alternative for diabetes management. A solvent casting method was employed to prepare buccal patches using a combination of polymers like HPMC, HPMC K4M, PVA. The optimized patch (DF3) exhibited a drug release of 93.32% over 09 hours. The buccal patch was found to showed good bioadhesion. This study demonstrates the potential of the developed buccal patch as a promising transmucosal delivery system for nateglinide, offering a convenient and effective treatment option for diabetes management.

Heart failure is a pathological medical disorder where there is an abnormality of heart function, which results in an inability to pump blood to the rest of the body resulting in poor perfusion of the organs. Congestive heart failure is a progressive disease generally seen in elderly, which if not properly managed leads to death. Heart failure is a serious condition with significant morbidity and mortality the continuous increases is local congestive heart failure cases and the economic burden associated with it has led to the over helming demand for bowel therapies quite a few drugs for heart failure have shown some promise in preclinical as well as early phase clinical trails but most of them were unsuccessful. In addition to the pharmacological and non-pharmacological intervention also plays an essential role in management of heart failure to assess the true effectiveness of these attractive compounds.

Dental caries and periodontitis are prevalent and persistent oral diseases posing significant health challenges. The inclusion of fungi as commensals within oral biofilms presents a novel avenue of research in oral biology. This study reviews existing literature on biofilms, with a focus on methodologies, highlighting the coexistence of Candida albicans with bacteria in oral biofilms and its implications for oral health. The study explores the efficacy of natural products, particularly traditional herbal remedies like Tulsi, Green Tea, and Neem, as antifungal agents against drug-resistant pathogens. The current study was conducted on Alternaria isolated from patients suffering with dental caries and standard strain of Candida albicans MTCC 227, procured from IMTECH, Chandigarh. To evaluate the efficacy of these plants against oral biofilm-forming bacteria, phytochemical screening using the methanolic leaf extracts and the antimicrobial activity was checked against the isolated strains. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of several bioactive compounds in the extracts, with Eugenol from Ocimum sanctum, Catechin from Camellia sinensis and Nimbidin from Azadirachta indica. This study proposes an investigation into the potential of organic herbs to halt or inhibit dental caries and associated diseases, providing a sustainable and alternative approach to oral health management.

Domestic workers are an indispensable part of the everyday lives of a large segment of India's urban population. However, in the absence of a national policy to recognise the specific nature of domestic work, their categorisation as 'workers' is merely theoretical. This issue brief highlights the isolated nature of domestic work in India, with particular reference to legislative and social issues, which keep them at bay from availing their rights as 'recognised workers'. There has been a significant increase in the number of women domestic workers in India in recent times. The domestic service is now accepted as an important category of livelihood. The domestic labour debate was particularly prominent in the western academia amongst feminists in the 1960s and 1970s. The steep decline in agrarian produce and livelihood security in rural areas has caused migration of rural people to urban areas. The number of women domestic workers is constantly growing in the informal sector of urban India. Domestic work has remained unorganized, unrecognized and unrewarding for the domestic workers. The domestic workers are denied of minimum wages, healthy work period, safe working conditions and other benefits in the absence of trade unions and state intervention. The women domestic workers do not have support networks and civil society support under the existing circumstances. They experience exploitative situations and multi-faceted abuses. The national and international legal instruments are largely ineffective under the existing circumstances

Abstract: The "Disease Prediction" method focuses on predictive modeling to forecast the user's disease based on input symptoms. This method analyzes the symptoms provided by the user and outputs the likelihood of the disease using a random forest classifier. The system collects data from various health-related websites, ensuring real and accurate symptom data without any dummy values. The preprocessing phase involves cleaning and standardizing the data, followed by splitting it into training and testing sets. The model is built using the random forest algorithm, which excels in handling both structured and unstructured data. The prediction phase leverages a Flask framework to interface the model with users, providing them with a convenient and efficient way to input symptoms and receive disease likelihood predictions. This approach not only saves time and cost associated with doctor visits but also provides early detection and management of chronic diseases. The system achieves an average prediction accuracy probability of 95%, demonstrating its potential to improve healthcare accessibility and decision-making.
