Waste is regarded as one of the major environmental issues facing the modern world. One of the specific goals of environmental preservation is effective waste management due to the growing amount of garbage produced as a result of human activities. The trash issue will be a big burden on the next generation if it is not adequately managed. This paper aims at designing a pilot plant anaerobic digestion system in the Girls' Polytechnic campus which is located in Guwahati, Assam considering the organic waste generated per day. An approach has been made to fabricate the prototype to fit into modern design for better efficiency. The pH and biogas volume was monitored daily to avoid failure of the system. The primary focus of this work is to provide a proper waste management system for the polytechnic campus which is to be done by converting waste to fuel by anaerobic digestion. Thus, the biogas generated will be used in the kitchen of the girls' hostel for cooking purpose.

Now-a-days people are very health conscious because every day the new generation is facing, new health problems. People intake slow poison daily in terms of hybrid food, and slowly everybody's health is at risk. Simply the environment changes from a healthy nation to an abnormal nation due to the consumption of manmade chemicals. So human health is threatened by three dangerous food security, which are Chemical fertilizers, pesticides and genetically modified crops. Therefore, there is a need for high attention towards human health consciousness so that people can be aware of paying at least a premium price for a good chemical-free product. In this paper, we mainly tried to focus on the prospects and problems of organic farming in North-East India.

Flexible screen-printed electrodes (FSPEs) are electrochemical sensors made by printing conductive ink onto a flexible substrate such as polyester or polyimide. FSPEs can be programmed to detect a wide range of analytes, such as ions, gases, and biomolecules, making them useful sensors for a wide range of applications. They're commonly made utilizing screen-printing procedures, which entail transferring conductive ink via a mesh screen onto a flexible substrate. After drying and curing, the ink forms a durable conductive layer that can be utilized as the working electrode in an electrochemical sensor. To improve selectivity and sensitivity to certain analytes, FSPEs can be modified with specific sensing materials or coatings. FSPEs can be used to monitor plant nutrient levels in a variety of ways, including in situ sensing and distant monitoring. In situ sensing is the use of a handheld or portable electrochemical sensor to directly assess nutrient levels in soil or plant tissue. The usage of FSPE-based sensors that are incorporated into a wireless network and can offer real-time data on plant nutrient levels is used for remote monitoring. FSPEs provide various advantages over standard nutrient monitoring systems, including low cost, portability, and ease of use. FSPEs can also identify essential plant nutrients quickly and accurately, allowing for prompt action to treat nutrient deficits or excesses. However, FSPEs have several limitations, such as selectivity and sensitivity to specific analytes. To improve their selectivity and sensitivity to specific plant nutrients, FSPEs may require specific coatings or modifications. Furthermore, FSPEs may necessitate regular calibration to maintain accurate and repeatable results.

Karkidakam (July-August) Is the last month of Malayalam calendar and is one of the months that fall under monsoon season. The month is regarded as the most suitable time for rejuvenation therapies.Karkidaka chikitsa are well known tradition of Kerala, which focuses on detoxification of the body and prevention of monsoon related diseases.Karkidaka kanji is a medicated porridge consumed by the people as the part of Karkidaka chikitsa. The Kanji increases the digestive capacity and strengthens the body. It is believed that the Kanji will be providing immunity for the upcoming year. The present work reveals the importance of Karkidaka kanji and the plants used in the conventional method of its preparation. The information regarding the plants used was obtained from the Ayurvedic Doctors, Ayurvedic practitioners and local people of different regions of Kerala. The Kanji is generally prepared using Njavara rice, spices and various other herbs like Sida cordifolia, Boerhavia diffusa, Mimosa pudica, the extract of 'Dashapusham' etc. The ingredients and preparation of Karkidaka kanji varied in different region according to the availability of plants. These ingredients are therapeutically active source of drug for various disease and ailments. Still there exist a lot of possibilities for investigating the potential pharmacological activates of these plants. Thus systematic documentation of such traditional system indicating the importance of plants opens up the opportunity for future research.

Abstract Achievement test measures the performance in relation to a skill or knowledge which has been acquired as a result of training. It is a systematic procedure for determining the amount that a student has learned through instruction (Gronlund, 1977). In this present study the researcher decided to construct and standardize of an achievement test in Mathematics and English Grammar for class IX students. The present study intends mainly three objectives: to construct and standardize an achievement test in Mathematics and English Grammar for class IX students, to try out the academic achievement test in Mathematics and English Grammar for class IX students and to standardize the academic achievement test in Mathematics and English Grammar for class IX under Board of Secondary students in Assam. The study was considered basically under the scope of descriptive survey-cum-exploratory research. Total 100 participants/sample (i.e., 50 boys and 50 girls) were selected on the basis of stratified random sampling from the 10 Secondary schools of Sivasagar district of Assam. For developing the test, at first 160 items were prepared tentatively and on the basis of Difficulty Value (DV) and Discriminating Power (DP) all the 160 items were discussed and examined by the researcher and consulted with other experts in the field of test construction for constructive suggestions. After getting constructive suggestions from the experts, the researcher finalized the test with 100 items. Odd-even method was used to split the test into two equal halves. The reliability of the English medium schools achievement was found (r=0.69) and reliability of the Assamese medium school students on achievement was found (r=0.76). The coefficient of the test was estimated by using Spearman-Brown Prophecy Formula and the reliability of the test of English version achievement test in Fundamentals of English Grammar was found (r=0.82) and the Assamese version achievement test was found (r=.88).

Green Accounting and Reporting Practices Among Indian Corporates. ABSTRACT : Green accounting is one of the crucial areas in today's corporates social responsibility. Companies are incorporating the concept of environmental element in their business operators. Green Accounting and Reporting will help the organizations in India to identity the resources utilization and the incurred cost. Recent years have witnessed rising concern for environmental degradation which is taking place mainly in the form of pollution of various type like, air, waters, sound, soil erosion, deforestation etc., Even though Indian corporate comply with the rules and regulations with regard to environment protection, till now no clear cut poleis are framed and formulated at the National, state or even at the company level for ensuring the level of compliance to environment norms. The aim of this paper is to present a view of the different activities to be undertaken by organization to facilitates environmental accounting and reporting.
