This study examines community awareness, preparedness, and risk perception regarding floods and droughts in Mysore, Karnataka. Despite being educated and employed, most respondents lacked disaster plans or training. Reliance on government warnings was high, but community alerts and institutional engagement were limited. The findings highlight the need for improved infrastructure, widespread training, and stronger community-institution collaboration to boost resilience.

Polycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD) is a common health issue related to hormones. It is often connected to chemicals in the environment, especially those that can cause hormonal imbalance, like BPA, phthalates, and parabens. These chemicals imitate or interfere with hormones, which may lead to the development of PCOD. Ayurveda, with its special branch called Agadtantra (which focuses on poisons and toxins), provides a helpful way to understand and treat problems caused by chemicals. This study looks at how certain concepts of Agadtantra, especially Dushi Visha (long-lasting low-level toxins) and Gara Visha (toxins made from bad mixtures), are connected to PCOD. Ayurvedic treatments were looked at, which include detox therapies called Shodhan Chikitsa, antidote formulas known as Agads, herbal remedies, and changes to daily habits. The results show that Agadtantra offers a complete and effective way to manage PCOD. It helps by removing toxins, balancing hormones, and fixing body imbalances. Combining Ayurvedic methods of treatment along with modern medical text could provide a safer and natural way to manage PCOD in today's environment filled with chemicals.

A novel moringa gum based adsorbent (MOG-P) has been prepared and used for the adsorptive removal of U(VI) ions from aqueous solutions. Maximum adsorption occurred at pH 5.0 and the removal capacity increased with increase in adsorbent dose. Equilibrium was attained within 120 min. The U(VI) adsorption decreases with increase in ionic strength of the solution and the uranium adsorption occurs through outer-sphere surface complexation. The isotherm data follows Langmuir-Freundlich equation. The adsorption mechanism occurred by the complexation of uranium with oxygen atoms in P- OH/P=O group in MOG-P.

Abstract Background: Adolescence is a formative period marked by emotional and psychological development. Emotional well-being during this stage significantly impacts mental health, academic success, and social interactions. Evaluating both positive and negative affect is essential to identify adolescents at risk for emotional challenges. Aim: This study aimed to assess the emotional well-being of adolescents by measuring their levels of positive and negative affect using the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), and to examine the relationship between affective states and selected socio-demographic factors. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 54 adolescents from Himaja Degree College, Puttur, using a non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the standardized PANAS instrument and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Results: Findings revealed that most participants exhibited moderate levels of positive affect and low levels of negative affect, indicating a generally balanced emotional state. Statistically significant associations were observed between emotional affect and lifestyle-related factors, such as food habits and personal routines. Conclusion: The majority of adolescents demonstrated stable emotional well-being. However, specific lifestyle patterns were found to influence emotional states. Routine emotional screening using validated tools like PANAS, alongside the promotion of healthy personal habits, is recommended to enhance mental well-being among adolescents.

This article discusses the significance of women's folk songs played in colonial Uttar Pradesh as a means of expressing joy and sufferings. It explores how these songs served as a powerful medium for women to find solace, celebrate their joys, and voice their struggles within a patriarchal and colonial context. While specific examples from the colonial period may be scarce due to the lack of audio recordings, the article suggests various avenues to explore, such as oral traditions, folklore archives, ethnographic studies, literature, and contemporary folk music. By engaging with these resources, readers can gain valuable insights into the themes, cultural heritage, and empowering nature of women's folk songs in colonial Uttar Pradesh.

The rapid expansion of Financial Technology (FinTech) has disrupted India's banking sector, introducing digital payment platforms, peer-to-peer lending, Neobanks, and app-based financial services. These innovations challenge traditional banks by offering faster, cost-effective, and customer-friendly alternatives. This study empirically examines the impact of FinTech on the profitability and operational efficiency of Indian banks using financial ratio analysis, customer engagement trends, and comparative performance metrics. The findings indicate declining net interest margins (NIMs) and fee-based income for traditional banks, while digitally agile private banks show resilience through strategic FinTech partnerships. The study concludes with recommendations for banks to adopt collaborative FinTech models, AI-driven analytics, and open banking frameworks to sustain competitiveness.

This research paper will examine the impact of the 2025 India-Pakistan war on the international economy, analysing how a regional conflict between two nuclear-armed neighbors can instigate global economic disruptions. This research examines how military escalations immediately and long-term affect trade, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, aviation, and financial markets through real-time economic data analysis of stock movements, currency fluctuations, trade suspensions, and sector impacts. It aims to demonstrate global markets' interconnectedness and volatility in response to regional geopolitical shocks while analyzing the economic costs of conflict.

The paper aims to explore the philosophical depth of Kipling's poem "If," where it draws strong parallels between Kipling's ideals and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, especially the qualities of the ideal man in the contemporary world. An effort is made to establish a cross-cultural spiritual dialogue between English literature and Indian philosophy; this shows how Kipling's virtues reflect Vedantic principles, especially those rooted in Karma Yoga, equanimity, and self-realization. Each stanza of the poem is analyzed against relevant shlokas from the Gita, highlighting key values such as detachment, willpower, humility, emotional balance, and oneness. There is an analysis of the concept of Sthitaprajna (steady-minded one) and Yogi from the Gita as the equivalent of Kipling's "ideal man." The paper bridges Western literary expression and Eastern philosophical wisdom and proposes the integration of such moral-ethical frameworks in shaping current and future citizens and societies through education and literature.
