The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) has a profound and undeniable relevance to present-day family laws in India, particularly Hindu family law. While modern family laws are largely codified statutes enacted by Parliament, their historical roots, underlying principles, and even some contemporary challenges are deeply intertwined with the ancient wisdom, customs, and ethical frameworks of IKS. Family Laws are the Personal laws that refer to the rules and regulations that govern various aspects of one's personal life, such as matrimony, divorce, succession, and adoption. The article discusses the relevance of the IKS with the present Hindu family laws. The term "Hindu" itself is considered imprecise and of foreign origin. This proposed law extends beyond those identifying as Hindu, encompassing Sikhs, Jains, Lingayats, and Buddhists - faiths historically linked to Hinduism. Essentially, it aims to apply to all Indian citizens except Muslims, Parsis, Christians, and Jews.

George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four is a well-renowned novel which is set in a dystopian future where the world is divided into three superstates: Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia. This research paper explores Nineteen Eighty-Four as a chilling critique of totalitarianism and systematic erosion of individual privacy and freedom. Focusing mainly on the life of Winston Smith, the protagonist, the paper reflects on how Orwell's warning resonate in today's surveillance - driven world, emphasizing the novel's ongoing relevance.

This study examines the impact of financial literacy on consumer awareness and knowledge of equity-based mutual funds offered by Indian banks. An understanding of investor knowledge becomes a crucial component of making responsible financial decisions as retail involvement in equity markets increases, especially through bank-distributed funds. The impact of financial literacy on customers' comprehension, confidence, and investment in equity-based funds from public and private sector banks is examined in this research.

In the digital era, the role of library professionals has evolved significantly--from the traditional management of physical collections to the dynamic facilitation of digital knowledge access and user education. This paper explores the critical role that information literacy (IL) plays in empowering library professionals to contribute effectively to the functioning of modern academic libraries, specifically within central universities in India. The study is grounded in a comprehensive empirical investigation involving survey-based responses from 250 library professionals and in-depth interviews conducted with subject matter experts in the field. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire and an interview schedule administered across seven central universities in Delhi. The research examines multiple dimensions of IL, including the current proficiency levels of library staff, the methods they adopt for skill enhancement, the frequency and accessibility of IL training programs, and the perceived importance of IL in their day-to-day responsibilities. The findings reveal a strong consensus on the value of IL among professionals, yet point to a gap in regular, structured training opportunities. The study underscores the urgent need for continuous professional development, institutional commitment to IL integration, and strategic planning to ensure that library services remain adaptive, user-focused, and future-ready in a rapidly changing information landscape.

Executive Summary Human rights, inherent to all individuals regardless of status, form the foundational bedrock of a just and equitable global society. These universal, inalienable, indivisible, and interdependent entitlements fundamentally challenge traditional notions of state sovereignty by positing an external moral and legal standard for governmental conduct. The internationalization of human rights, significantly catalyzed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and subsequent legally binding covenants, has established a comprehensive framework of norms and mechanisms. Protection of these rights is a multi-stakeholder endeavor, critically involving states as primary duty-bearers, robust international organizations, and dynamic people's movements that often serve as catalysts for change. Despite significant progress in codifying and promoting human rights, the contemporary global landscape presents escalating and interconnected challenges. The rise of authoritarianism, particularly through digital surveillance, poses a systemic threat to civil liberties and democratic participation. Forced migration, increasingly driven by climate change, exposes critical gaps in existing legal protections. Persistent issues such as caste-based atrocities and pervasive gender-based violence underscore the limitations of legal frameworks alone in dismantling deeply entrenched systemic discrimination and power imbalances. Addressing these multifaceted challenges necessitates a renewed, concerted commitment from all actors. This includes reinforcing state adherence to international obligations, strengthening the efficiency and adaptability of international organizations, fostering genuine international cooperation, and empowering grassroots movements to continue their vital role in shaping a more equitable and dignified future for all.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) caused by bacteria with resistance to antibiotics are the focus of this research study on T2DM patients in Eastern India. This study intends to provide light on successful methods of treating urinary tract infections (UTIs) in diabetes individuals, which is important because antibiotic resistance is on the rise. For this cross-sectional study, 200 type 2 diabetics who also had a urinary tract infection (UTI) were included. The antimicrobial susceptibility of the isolated pathogens was examined after cultured urine samples were taken. It is clear from the results that this population requires individualised antibiotic treatment due to the high prevalence of antibiotic resistance.

Abstract: With their ability to manage smart devices and set reminders, voice-activated virtual assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa have become a commonplace part of our daily lives. But beneath their benevolent voices are more serious worries: What information do they gather? To whom is it available? How much does our privacy cost? The reality of living with constantly listening gadgets is examined in this study. It explores the workings of these technologies, examines their privacy practices, and draws on actual user experiences to illustrate both their advantages and moral conundrums. This research attempts to advance the creation of voice technology that is not only intelligent but also considerate, reliable, and built with the user's privacy and welfare in mind by analyzing the emotional and societal trade-offs.
