 Abstract

The paper examines the central theme of tradition versus modernisation in the play, The Starved (Bhukha) by Mangalu Charan Biswal, which delves into a socio-cultural context and focuses upon five Bajanias, rural folk performers who become poverty-stricken and culturally subjugated because of their low caste, passion for traditional livelihoods and the replacement of modernisation into traditional practices. The paper aims to study the conflict between tradition and modernization and its impact on the poor and marginalised people. The dominance of modernisation predicts the downfall of a long-preserved culture and its practices. The paper tries to suggest possible solutions to the problems shown with possible further studies on the same topic.

 Abstract

Herein, CuI and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) have been employed as an efficient catalyst system to synthesize pyrrolo[2,3,4-kl]acridin-1-ones via ring-opening sequence or amidic C-N bond cleavage of isatin. It was found that this cost-competitive catalyst system could efficiently catalyse the reaction in only 2h at 600C and a wide range of substrates were suitable for this reaction. Various target products were obtained in excellent yields. It was perceived that the catalyst system has a synergistic effect, copper(I) activatingthe carbonyl group and DBU triggering the activity of the amino group of amines for the reaction.

 Abstract

As a technical tool, forensic animation has considerably aided the progress of the Indian court system. This paper is aimed to provides a historical overview of forensic animation's progress within the Indian legal environment. It emphasizes the influence of technological technology on numerous parts of the judicial system, such as criminal investigation, courtroom hearings, and evidence presentation. The research starts by tracing the roots of forensic animation in India in the late 1990s. Initially, the use of this technology was restricted and exploratory. However, when advances in computer graphics and animation software became available, forensic animation acquired respect and acceptability among legal practitioners such as Batala house case and Aarushi-Hemraj Murder Case etc. According to the historical research, forensic animation has changed criminal investigation by visualizing complicated crime scenes and recreating events. Animations provide a full and readily understood narrative for judges, juries, and legal practitioners by incorporating forensic evidence such as images, videos, and witness statements. This has significantly improved the clarity and persuasion of evidence presented in court. Furthermore, the research investigates the effect of forensic animation on trial processes. It reveals that animated reconstructions are particularly successful in visually engaging complicated scientific ideas such as ballistics, DNA analysis, and accident reconstruction. This has enhanced judges' and jurors' general knowledge of difficult evidence, resulting in fairer and more informed choices. This paper also highlights the difficulties encountered with the introduction and integration of forensic animation in the Indian legal system. It emphasizes the need of specific training programs and coordination between forensic specialists and animators to achieve accurate and fair evidence depiction

 Abstract

Literature serves as a pivotal nexus of various socio-economic factors. It possesses the capacity for resistance and revolutionary functions. Additionally, literature is shaped by subaltern histories rooted in the school of history. In contemporary Indian literature, subalternity emerges as a predominant concept, with literary writers directing their focus towards marginalized voices in society. Indian authors have reimagined both fictional and non-fictional narratives to give voice to the silenced perspectives of subalterns. Conversely, during colonial India, disciplines such as history, social science, literature, and politics witnessed a surge of creativity through the exploration of 'the village and the individual' not merely as remnants of an ancient civilization but as nascent forms potentially alternative to capitalism. Many narratives in Hindi and regional languages portray perspectives on village life and society during both colonial and post-colonial periods. This paper examines the works of two eminent writers, Premchand from Hindi literature and Mahasweta Devi from Bengali literature, while also surveying Dalit literature from a subaltern perspective. These writers illuminate the enduring societal challenges from below, illustrating contrasting rural and urban landscapes. Whereas history typically chronicles events from above, literature often documents history from the vantage point of those at the grassroots. This study aims to explore the early roots of literature focusing on subaltern themes before the formal advent of subaltern studies as a methodological framework in India.

 Abstract

Perestroika was a set of economic reforms that aimed to decentralise decision-making and implement market mechanisms in the Soviet economy. This includes creating a restricted consumer products market, forming joint ventures with foreign corporations, privatising some state-owned enterprises, and granting greater autonomy to stateowned enterprises. The Soviet leadership faced pushback from conservative factions and lacked experience with market systems, making reforms difficult to implement. Glasnost aspired to foster an open and transparent society, promoting freedom of expression and access to information. This included relaxing censorship rules, releasing political prisoners, and establishing independent media channels. However, Conservative factions within the Soviet government opposed these developments, fearing losing control over the population. Perestroika and Glasnost combined to have a significant impact on Soviet society, bringing in increased political and social liberty as well as economic growth. Nonetheless, it brought along significant obstacles and disruptions, such as rising inflation, consumer goods scarcity, and political unrest.

 Abstract

Abstract Purpose - The study's objective is to examine the Patanjali product range to see what challenges and opportunities exist for the company to operate a green business. Design/methodology/approach - The initial data was provided by 173 Udaipur district residents who regularly used Patanjali products. Direct interviews, organised questions were produced, and the researcher used non-experimental quantitative surveys. 200 people were surveyed initially; however, only 157 of the answers were helpful. 43 of the responses, as a result, were not engaged. The sample was randomly selected from the entire population. Findings - Based on a number of measures, the results showed that Patanjali product purchasers are satisfied. There are a few weaknesses and threats to the company, though. The document includes the SWOT framework that was created from the paper's Likert statements. Research limitations/implications - Primary data from the Udaipur district were gathered using a simple random sampling technique; more accurate results would have been obtained if the study area had been larger. Practical implications - The poll looks into respondents' opinions on using green Patanjali products. Having this knowledge is essential for creating a long-term business strategy. Originality/value - This research uses a five-point Likert scale to represent the respondents' reactions to the framed statements to determine their perspective on using Patanjali Ayurveda products.
