 Abstract

Maintaining effective hand hygiene will essential for preventing the spread of infectious microorganisms. Increasing concerns regarding the frequent use of synthetic hand sanitizers, such as skin irritation and dryness, have encouraged the development of safer, plant-based alternatives. The presented study focused on the preparation and evaluation of a polyherbal hydroalcoholic hand sanitizer formulated using natural ingredients with proven antimicrobial activity. The formulation was designed by incorporating neem (Azadirachta indica) extract obtained by aqueous extraction, clove (Syzygium aromaticum) oil extracted through hydro-steam distillation, and fresh aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) gel, along with 70% ethanol as the primary antimicrobial agent. Tween 80 was used as a surfactant, glycerine as a humectant, and rose oil for fragrance. The combination of neem and clove was select to achieve a synergistic bactericidal effect, enhance the overall antimicrobial efficiency of the formulation. The prepared sanitizer was evaluate for physicochemical parameters including pH, spreadability, appearance, and stability.

 Abstract

India's rice-based fermented preparations like Pazhaya Sadham (locally Neeragaram), Idli, Dosa, Uttapam, Appam and Kallappam, together with the millet-rice composites Koozh and Ambali are now being looked at seriously as functional foods, with documented probiotic, glycemic and gut-supportive properties. Their bioactive landscape and the mechanisms behind those reported effects, however, remain only partially worked out, because the older toolbox of culture isolation and single-target assays cannot do justice to either the compositional richness or the inherently multi-target pharmacology of a fermented matrix. This study sets out an integrated methodological framework that brings together five lines of evidence: amplicon sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene and shotgun metagenomics on the community side; untargeted and targeted metabolomics on GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and NMR platforms; a network-pharmacology pipeline running from compound retrieval through ADME and Lipinski-style filtering, target prediction, disease-target mining, protein-protein interaction analysis and pathway enrichment; molecular docking and dynamics simulations to validate binding modes; and the more recent multi-omics integration strategies that knit these layers together. Each step is laid out with the parameter thresholds in current use, the software ecosystem available, and the pitfalls that recur in published work, among them the routine misapplication of blind docking, the patchy reporting of MSI confidence levels in metabolomic studies, and the inflation of pseudo-targets in protein-protein interaction networks. The methodological literature on Indian rice ferments specifically remains thin, and so the present study leans on adjacent fermented systems such as Tualang honey, soy ferments and other Indian traditional foods as illustrative templates, while Indian rice ferments remain the central application context. The study closes by pointing to future directions, the construction of microbe-substrate-metabolite-target-disease networks, integration with strain-level genomics, and the development of defined microbial consortia for reproducible Indian rice ferment production.

 Abstract

Background: PCOD is a common endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age, and is impact extends beyond reproductive health. The WHO in the year 2021 reported that approximately 116 million women (3.4%) are affected by PCOD globally and in India was 37 to 22.5 % PCOD affects an estimated 8-13% of reproductive aged women up to 70% of affected women remain undiagnosed worldwide. Objective of the study: 1.To assess the knowledge regarding PCOD among Nursing Students.2.To find the association between the level of Knowledge regarding PCOD among Nursing Students and selected demographic variable. Materials and Methods: A quantitative research approach with descriptive cross sectional research design was selected for the present study. Convenience sampling technique was adopted to select the 130 samples. Data were collected by self-structured knowledge questionnaire. Result: The study result showed that overall knowledge means score was 9.82 with SDI 2.753 results revealed that majority i.e., 48.38% of knowledge belongs to 21 - 23 years , 73.07 % belongs to Hinduism , 77.69% belongs to rural area , 91.53% belongs to nuclear family , 47.69 % income is 15,000 to 44,999 , 32.30 % educational status is GNM 2nd year , 60% work pattern is moderate , 63.84% is non- vegetarian , 93.07 % likes junk food , 32.30% get knowledge from parents/teachers . It was seen that out of 130 students 19.24% were having inadequate, 68.46% of then were having moderately adequate and only 12.30% were having adequate level of knowledge on PCOD. Conclusion: The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant association between the level of Knowledge on PCOD among Nursing Students with some demographic variables i.e., course of the study, food habits, and source of information. On the other hand, there is no significant association between the level of knowledge with some demographic variables i.e.,age, religion, locality of residence, type of family, income of the family, work pattern, and junk food consumption.  Abstract

Abstract: The Ramayana and the Mahabharata are the Indian epics that profoundly serve as repository of knowledge, ethics and moral values. The timeless contribution of the epics can be seen in literature, philosophy, politics, education, arts and media. The epics act as the foundational texts inspiring from the classical poetry to contemporary retellings and films. The mythological characters, their identity, decisions, representation and dilemmas continue to influence, shape and have an impact on the contemporary scenarios in society. Since the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and the characters in it have a powerful impact in shaping human identity, conduct, behavior and psyche, it's very important to know how rightly they are pictured, portrayed and represented in literature. Films are the powerful tool that influences people of all social strata across all timelines. The episodes of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have been telecasted as daily soaps, dramas, short films, web series and films. There is a visible shift and change in the narratives and adaptations of films in contemporary times. The traditional narratives of character representation, gender stereotypes, assignment of role and identity in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have been relooked, reconstructed and reinterpreted in the film adaptations. The present paper focuses on two full length films and a short film; Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan', Prakash Jha's 'Raajneeti' and Sujoy Ghosh's 'Ahalya'. All the selected films are the modern retellings of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata in a new fashion that has not been looked at in traditional narratives. The films focus on the wronged characters and narrate their plight, dilemmas, choices and stories of their making.

 Abstract

Electric vehicles are seen as an alternative option in response to the depletion of resources. In order to increase the use of EV's in daily life, practical and reliable methods to charge batteries of EV' s are quite important, accordingly wireless power transfer (WPT) is considered as a solution to charge batteries. In this project, a prototype system of wireless charger which has 60 kHz operation frequency is designed. Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEV) are burdened by the need for cable and plug charger, galvanic isolation of the on-board electronics, bulk and cost of this charger and the large energy storage system (ESS) packs needed. But by using Wireless Charging system's Wireless charging opportunity. It Provides convenience to the customer, inherent electrical isolation, regulation done on grid side and reduce on-board ESS size using dynamic on-road charging. The main objective of our project is to design and develop antenna system suitable for vehicle using resonant magnetic coupled wireless power transfer technology to electric vehicle charging system. Application of WPT in EV's provides a clean, convenient and safe operation. At the core of the WPT systems are primary and secondary coils. These coils construct a loosely coupled system where the coupling coefficient is between 0.1-0.5. In order to transfer the rated power, both sides have to be tuned by resonant capacitors. The operating frequency is a key selection criterion for all applications and it especially affects the dimensions of the coils and the selection of the components for the power electronic circuit. A Resonant wireless transfer system for vehicle charging technology is designed.

 Abstract

This study investigates media consumption patterns among audiences in Hyderabad, focusing on demographic variables such as age, gender, institution type, and household income. Using stratified random sampling and structured questionnaires, data were collected from 400 respondents and analysed through descriptive statistics, cross-tabulations, and chi-square tests. The findings reveal significant generational divides, with younger audiences overwhelmingly preferring OTT platforms while older groups remain loyal to television. Gender differences highlight men's longer viewing times and preference for sports and news, while women balance entertainment and cultural programming with household responsibilities. Institutional affiliation strongly influences language preferences, with private institutions fostering English-language consumption and government institutions sustaining regional identity. Income levels emerge as a critical determinant of access, with higher-income households enjoying extensive subscriptions and device ownership, while lower-income groups remain dependent on affordable television packages. These results underscore the importance of inclusive media policies that address generational divides, gendered experiences, institutional disparities, and economic inequalities. Media consumption is not merely entertainment; it is a form of cultural expression and democratic participation. Ensuring equitable access to diverse content is essential for sustaining cultural diversity and strengthening democratic resilience. By situating the analysis within Hyderabad's diverse media landscape, this study contributes to broader debates about digital transformation in India, highlighting the need for policies that balance technological innovation with cultural representation and social equity.

 Abstract

The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a polyherbal anti-inflammatory gel using natural herbal ingredients. Inflammation is a protective response of the body that is commonly associated with pain, redness, swelling, and discomfort. Herbal medicines have gained considerable attention due to their safety, affordability, easy availability, and reduced risk of adverse effects compared to synthetic medications. The polyherbal gel was formulated using extracts of Neem (Azadirachta indica), Turmeric (Curcuma longa), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), and Aloe vera. These medicinal plants are widely recognized for their anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties. The selected herbal extracts were incorporated into a suitable gel base to obtain a smooth, uniform, and stable topical formulation. The prepared gel was evaluated for various quality parameters, including appearance, pH, viscosity, homogeneity, spreadability, extrudability, washability, stability, and skin irritation. The evaluation results indicated that the formulation possessed good physical characteristics, acceptable pH, satisfactory viscosity, and excellent homogeneity. Stability studies revealed no significant changes during storage, and the skin irritation test confirmed that the formulation was safe for topical application. Based on the findings, the developed polyherbal anti-inflammatory gel can be considered an effective, stable, economical, and user-friendly herbal formulation for the management of inflammatory conditions. The study highlights the potential of herbal ingredients as safer alternatives for topical anti-inflammatory therapy
