Tamil cinema witnessed a significant transformation during the late 1970s and early 1980s through the works of director J. Mahendran, whose films emphasized realism, psychological depth, and human emotions. Among his acclaimed works, Nenjathai Killathe (1980) stands out for its subtle exploration of female psychology, emotional conflict, and interpersonal relationships. This study examines the psychological realism and female emotional consciousness portrayed in the film through a qualitative textual analysis. The research focuses on narrative structure, characterization, visual storytelling, and the representation of inner emotional struggles experienced by the protagonist. Unlike conventional Tamil films that relied on melodrama and exaggerated emotions, Mahendran employs silence, natural performances, and understated visual techniques to communicate complex psychological states. The study finds that the film presents a realistic portrayal of emotional ambivalence, identity formation, and the tension between romantic desire and marital responsibility. Furthermore, the film foregrounds female subjectivity by allowing the protagonist's emotional experiences to drive the narrative. Through its nuanced depiction of human relationships and psychological conflicts, Nenjathai Killathe remains an important example of psychological realism in Tamil cinema

As per the report by Sustain Your Style (2023) the fashion and design industry is the 2nd largest pollutant in the world, therefore necessitating sustainable practices at both pre and post-consumption levels. Design HEIs are the hub to develop fresh minds into strategic agents to work towards fostering conscious professionals. However, their pedagogical approach relies on material-intensive methods that involve prototyping, and explorations produce diverse and complex waste streams. Currently, the existing circular economy (CE) and waste management frameworks remain fragmented, that are primarily operating at a macroeconomic or industrial focus perspective, and lack the operational flexibility that is essential when applied in an academic setting. Furthermore, transitioning to circularity on campus is frequently hindered by prominent factors such as physical infrastructural constraints and behavioural barriers amongst all the stakeholders across the campus. This paper addresses this gap by evaluating twenty prominent theoretical frameworks across economic, ecological, behavioural, and pedagogical domains that underwent a rigorous multistage thematic analysis. The frameworks are lacking academic applicability awareness, are eliminated, and ultimately narrowed to isolating two core models that possess a high operational synergy for these HEIs. The Research concluded that achieving true circularity requires moving beyond basic waste segregation by synthesizing physical material management with a shift in human behavioural attributes. Consequently, the paper proposes a contextualized "Dual-Pillar Approach." The first pillar works on the 10R Framework to establish strict waste hierarchies and integrate circularity into grading & second pillar employs the Pro-Circular Change Model to overcome psychological barriers and embed sustainable stewardship into the curriculum. By bridging physical waste management with a cultural mindset shift, this approach aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 of Responsible Consumption and Production, ensuring future designers are trained as conscious professionals within regenerative systems.

The rapid evolution of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), particularly models such as StyleGAN2, has resulted in the generation of highly realistic synthetic facial images, commonly referred to as deepfakes. These images pose serious threats to digital media authenticity, identity security, and public trust. Traditional deepfake detection techniques primarily depend on visible artifacts and pixel-level inconsistencies, which are increasingly minimized by advanced generative models. This paper presents a passive deepfake detection system that relies on facial biometric and texture-based cues without using physiological signals. The proposed framework analyzes facial landmark consistency, eye-region characteristics, and Local Binary Pattern (LBP) texture features, combined with a deep learning-based visual classifier. A VGG19 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is employed to learn discriminative spatial features from facial images and accurately classify them as real or fake. Experimental evaluation on CelebA-HQ and StyleGAN2 datasets demonstrates that the integration of handcrafted facial features with VGG19 significantly improves robustness against visually convincing deepfakes. A Flask-based web interface enables image upload and instant prediction, making the system suitable for res.earch and educational applications.

This research presents the design, development, and analysis of a dual-network Jordan Neural Network (JNN)-based cryptographic framework that enables both encryption and decryption through two independently trained neural models. The system introduces a randomized mapping mechanism for encrypting plaintext and a corresponding reverse JNN architecture capable of reconstructing the original data with good accuracy. The proposed model enhances security, ensures reliable cipher recovery, and demonstrates the feasibility of neural-network-driven encryption for modern secure communication environments. Experimental evaluations highlight the system's performance, accuracy, and adaptability, making it a promising solution for scalable neural cryptography.

The formulation of a polyherbal analgesic gel was carried out to develop a herbal topical preparation intended for relief from joint and muscle pain as well as inflammation. The gel was designed for external application on painful areas such as the knees, elbows, wrists, ankles, shoulders, and fingers. Herbal ingredients including turmeric, ginger, mint, aloe vera, tulsi, clove, and eucalyptus oil were selected due to their analgesic, anti-inflammatory, soothing, and cooling properties. Turmeric helps in reducing pain and swelling, ginger supports inflammation control, mint provides a cooling sensation, aloe vera offers a soothing effect on the skin, while tulsi and clove contribute to pain and inflammation management. The formulation was prepared using carbopol as a gelling agent to provide suitable texture and consistency for topical use. Glycerine was incorporated to improve moisture retention, spreadability, and smooth application of the gel. Additional components such as purified water, preservative, and pH-adjusting agents were included to improve formulation stability and maintain product quality. The prepared polyherbal gel was evaluated using various physicochemical and performance parameters including appearance, colour, odour, pH, homogeneity, viscosity, spreadability, extrudability, washability, skin irritation, and stability. The results indicated that the formulation possessed good consistency, satisfactory homogeneity, easy spreadability, skin-friendly pH, and showed no significant irritation, suggesting its suitability as a herbal topical preparation for pain relief and inflammation management.

Youth netball players' anthropometric and physical performance profiles have not been extensively researched. Studies on young netball players' physical performances are scarce. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess youth netball players' height, weight, body mass index (BMI), and physical attributes by position. Ninety-one female netball players between the ages of 17 and 20 took part in the study. Physical fitness performance (speed, agility, power, flexibility, and aerobic endurance) and anthropometric measurements (height, weight, and body mass index) were gathered. Anthropometric results revealed that players' positions differed significantly in height and weight (p<.05) but not in body mass index (p>.05). In terms of physical fitness, the results indicated that the players' positions in each fitness component did not differ significantly (p>.05). These results show that female netball players' body weight and height vary depending on their position. Coaches may be able to enhance athlete performance prior to a competition with the aid of these physical performance profiles.
