 Abstract

This study has been undertaken to investigate the impact of extroversion on learned helplessness among young-adults (18 - 26 years). A non-probability sampling technique was used to collect a sample of 202 young-adults. The Learned Helplessness Scale by Frances Ward (1988) and The Introversion - Extroversion Scale by Greg A. Grove (2001) were administered through a google form and offline mode. The data was analysed quantitatively using correlation and regression using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings suggest that there is a significant difference in the thinking introversion with a mean score of females being higher than males. A significant difference was observed in the emotional introversion of males and females with the scores of males being higher than females. The association of learned helplessness with thinking extroversion was significant and positive. Stepwise linear regression suggested that thinking extroversion explains 6.9% of positive variance in learned helplessness. Thinking extroverts may be more prone to stress and arousal-seeking behaviour, which can lead them to engage in risky or impulsive behaviours that could exacerbate the effects of learned helplessness.

 Abstract

The project proposes a novel method of data communication using Li-Fi technology. The proposed system utilizes the Android mobile phone's flashlight to transmit data in Morse code, which is then received by an Arduino Uno board using an LDR sensor. The received data is then displayed on an LCD screen, and also sent as an SMS notification using a GSM module. The proposed system offers an alternative to traditional communication methods that rely on radio waves, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The system is cost-effective, secure, and offers a high-speed data transmission rate. The Arduino Uno board uses an LDR sensor to receive the modulated light signal and decode the Morse code. The received data is then displayed on an LCD screen, which can be used to display messages or other relevant information. Additionally, the system can also send an SMS notification using a GSM module, which can be useful for sending alerts or notifications to the user.

 Abstract

Foreign direct investment (FDI) policies play a major role in the economic growth of developing countries around the world. Attracting FDI inflows with conductive policies has therefore become a key battleground in the emerging markets. The prospect of new growth opportunities and outsized profits encourages large capital inflows across a range of industry and opportunity types. And this has led to competition among the states in formulating flexible policies and providing incentives to woo private investors to invest more and more. In the light of the above the paper highlights the trend of FDI in India after the economic reforms, sector-wise and country-wise share of FDI, the manner in which FDI has affected the growth of Indian states. Various factors which play a significant role in attracting FDI into a particular state are also examined. Efforts made by the state governments in order to attract maximum FDI are also studied.

 Abstract

Agriculture is a vital sector of the global economy and the primary source of food and income for a large part of the world's population. However, despite its importance, the agriculture industry is facing numerous challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, and market fluctuations. The development of innovative technologies and digital platforms is crucial to address these challenges. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the agriculture industry through the lens of a novel web-based platform that aims to support and optimize agricultural practices. The platform enables users to manage their operations, access relevant information and resources, and connect with other agriculture community members. Through the platform, users can access data on weather patterns, crop prices, and market trends, as well as engage in virtual training and mentorship programs.

 Abstract

This study has been undertaken to investigate the impact of different parenting styles, namely authoritarian, authoritative, neglectful and permissive, influence the occurrence of juvenile delinquency. A purposive sampling method was used to select the sample population of 200 adolescents aged 12-18 from various regions of India. The objectives of the study were to investigate the impact of different parenting styles on the delinquency of participants in India and compare the delinquency levelsof participants among the three parenting styles. Quantitative findings revealed a significant relationship between parenting styles and juvenile delinquency. Participants with permissive parenting styles had a higher mean delinquency score (4.2) compared to participants with authoritative parenting styles (2.6). Participants with authoritarian parenting styles had a highermean delinquency score (3.5) compared to participants with permissive parenting styles (4.2).Participants with authoritarian parenting styles had a higher mean delinquency score (3.5) compared to participants with authoritative parenting styles (2.6). The findings of the research emphasise the significance of encouraging authoritative parenting techniques as a delinquency prevention strategy. Parents can successfully lower the likelihood that their children will engage in delinquent behaviour by providing an environment that is friendly, consistent, and open to conversation.

 Abstract

Homoeopathy gives great importance to causation. Causation is one of the elements of symptoms, which when strong and genuine, is of much benefit in the remedial diagnosis, and so far we have come across several successful cures made by remedies selected on this basis. In the field of medicine, the word "Cause" has been used since ages. Physicians knew that there can not be diseases without a cause. Homoeopathy goes further and propagates that there is a cause in the dynamic level that comes to activity much before the invasion of microbes. This dynamic cause should be removed to cure a patient. As per the concept of homoeopathy, the cause behind every disease is derangement of the vital force by the dynamic noxious influences called miasms. This is the real cause that flows in to effect in the form of sickness. Hence, tolle causam can be related with both orthodox medicine and homoeopathy, but for the former it is about removing the material cause and for the latter it is the removal of a dynamic cause. Another expression of cause in homoeopathy is causation, which are the factors responsible for a symptom produced in an individual patient. We know that causation, location, sensation, modalities, and concomitants are the components of a symptom. It is not mandatory to have all these components in a given symptom. The causations and modalities mentioned in the materia medica and also in the repertories are the exciting causes that can result in the production of symptoms in a sensitive or susceptible individual. Our body is sensitive to the external world and reacts to any stimuli on the basis of individual sensitivity and susceptibility developed as a result of the miasmatic background. Some external influences can activate the latent psora and the signs and symptoms are manifested externally. Here, the indicated medicine similar to the signs and symptoms of the patient can be given to achieve a cure.

 Abstract

'A systematic study of difference in aggression and quality of life among substance users and non-users." The study was conducted to assess the difference in Aggression and Quality of life among substance users and non-users.. The sample size was 100 adults in which 46 were non users and 54 were users. The age range was 25 to 50 years. Alcohol Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIST), Aggression Scale and Quality of Life (WHOQOL) were the tools used in this research. The results revealed that tobacco use was the highest among all the other substances. There was no significant difference in the amount of aggression in users and to that of non users and there was no significant difference in all the four domains of Quality of life of Substance users and non- users.
