 Abstract

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA) has been enacted to safeguard homebuyers as well as to bring transparency and accountability to the Indian Real Estate Sector. One of the biggest problems faced by buyers are the setbacks in taking possession of Flats, Apartments and Units by the builders and that led to the business scenario to study the statutory liabilities of builders in such cases under RERA.This paper is analytical and doctrinal in nature. The study also looks at significant case laws and problems that buyers encounter when pursuing justice, like a lack of knowledge about their legal rights and delays in resolving disputes. It emphasizes how RERA has improved homebuyer's position in comparison to the previous legal framework, but it also highlights some implementation challenges.The study comes to the conclusion that although RERA is a significant step in regulating the real estate industry more awareness and efficient enforcement are required to completely safeguard consumer's interest. The Act makes Builders more accountable and responsible by clearly defining their liabilities for delays in possession and makes it mandatory for builders to complete projects on time and hand over possession as contracted and promised in the agreement.If the builders don't hand over the agreed units or fails to comply with the provisions of the Act, remedies are available for buyers which covers their right to claim refund with interest, compensation for losses or to continue with the agreed units and receive interest for the delay. In this paper analysis of the duty of Real Estate Regulatory Authorities and Appellate Tribunals in handling such disputes is also discussed.  Abstract

Rapid urbanization presents a fundamental ecological paradox, particularly in developing metropolitan regions where infrastructure expansion often conflicts with environmental sustainability. This study examines the governance dynamics influencing biodiversity preservation within Nanmangalam Reserve Forest. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research integrates field observations, policy analysis, and stakeholder data collected from 80 long term residents across five suburban clusters. The findings reveal that metropolitan systems function simultaneously as agents of ecological stress and potential enablers of conservation. While infrastructure projects such as metro rail expansion introduce acoustic, hydrological, and spatial pressures, strategic interventions such as quarry restoration, buffer enforcement and community engagement support biodiversity resilience. A key contribution of this study is the identification of "social capital driven conservation," where local stakeholders act as informal ecological stewards. The paper proposes a governance framework emphasizing synchronization between infrastructure planning, ecological preservation, and community participation. The findings contribute to urban ecology and policy literature by demonstrating how fragmented forest systems can be sustainably integrated into rapidly expanding metropolitan regions.

 Abstract

This research paper looks at how Artificial Intelligence changed things, based on what was shown at the Mumbai Tech Week (MTW) 2026. This big event happened on May 29-30, 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. It was run by the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM) along with the Government of Maharashtra, and had help from Meta. The theme was 'India: AI in Action', which showed a big move from just trying out AI stuff to actually using it in real life. The paper puts together learnings from key speeches, live AI demos, policy updates, new tech shows, and classes taught by big-time experts like those from OpenAI, Meta, Anthropic, Google Cloud, NPCI, and Replit. Turns out, AI is becoming huge in areas like farming, city management, law enforcement, finance, and health care. Also, the state of Maharashtra made a serious commitment to land INR10,000 crore in AI investments and create 1.5 lakh jobs by 2031. To support all this, they started a service with 2,000 GPUs and will open up six AI Centers of Excellence.

 Abstract

Contemporary Indian mythology reflects upper-caste perspectives, normalising caste hierarchies and overlooking marginalised voices. Myths often dehumanise Dalit characters. Contemporary Dalit theatre counters this by restoring these characters' complexity, suffering, dignity, and resistance, thus offering a powerful counter-narrative. The main argument is that Dalit playwrights actively reclaim and transform mythological characters, directly challenging dominant narratives and decisively asserting Dalit identity. Ambedkar's reinterpretation of texts such as the Ramayana, Manusmriti, and caste myths forms the foundation of Dalit theatre theory. Sharankumar Limbale's work emphasises humiliation, violence, and resistance, critiquing religious myths used to justify caste exploitation. This article examines how Dalit playwrights and performers reinterpret mythic characters to challenge the hierarchical caste system and rewrite inherited stories from the perspective of the oppressed.

 Abstract

The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal anti-inflammatory cream containing turmeric extract, hyacinth seeds extract, ginger extract, aloe vera gel, coconut oil, and other natural ingredients. The cream was prepared by using suitable emulsifying agents and stabilizers to obtain a smooth and stable formulation. Turmeric, hyacinth seeds, and ginger were selected for their anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, while aloe vera and glycerin provided hydration and cooling effects and the pH is 6.5. The formulated cream was evaluated for various parameters such as appearance, pH, spreadability, homogeneity, and stability. The results showed that the cream possessed good consistency, easy spreadability, acceptable pH, and satisfactory stability. Therefore, the developed herbal cream can be considered a safe and effective topical formulation for reducing inflammation and soothing the skin.

 Abstract

In India, rapid population aging--projected to reach 20% elderly by 2050--highlights stark gender-based health disparities among older adults. Elderly women endure disproportionate challenges compared to men, rooted in lifelong caregiving roles, lower workforce participation, economic dependence, limited education, and restricted healthcare access. These factors contribute to higher prevalence of chronic conditions like osteoporosis, anemia, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health issues, often exacerbated by delayed treatment due to financial constraints and patriarchal norms. Cultural expectations further compel women to prioritize family over personal health, fostering isolation and poorer outcomes. This study examines gender-specific determinants of elderly health disparities in India, aiming to inform targeted policies for equitable healthcare, empowerment programs, and support systems to promote dignified aging for women.

 Abstract

The adolescents 'ability to navigate higher education successfully depends not only on academic knowledge but also on social intelligence, which enables them to manage relationships, adapt to new environments, and cope with academic pressures. Parents are the primary influence in shaping these social and emotional skills during adolescence. This study examines how parental influence affects social intelligence among higher secondary students and its implications for readiness for higher education. The study was conducted with 50 student-parent pairs (total N = 100) from Marthoma Higher Secondary School, Valakom, using structured questionnaires to assess parental influence and students' social intelligence. Data were analyzed using percentage analysis to determine levels of parental influence and Pearson's correlation coefficient to explore the relationship between parenting and social intelligence. The results indicate that 52% of students and 58% of parents reported a high level of parental influence. The correlation between parental influence and social intelligence was positive and statistically significant (r = 0.29, p < 0.05), suggesting that supportive parenting contributes meaningfully to the development of social competence. While the correlation is moderate, the findings underscore the importance of parental guidance, emotional support, and collaboration between home and school in preparing students for higher education challenges. Based on these results, the study recommends structured parental engagement, social intelligence training, and life-skill programmes within schools to enhance empathy, communication, and interpersonal skills. These initiatives can strengthen students' social competence and better equip them for academic and social demands in higher education. The study also highlights areas for further research, including examining the impact of parenting in different cultural and educational contexts.

 Abstract

The adoption of new technological systems offers a revolutionary opportunity for the sustainable economic empowerment of India, especially in improving supply chain efficiency, development of MSMEs, and inclusive development. This research paper recommends the Technology-Driven Model of Sustainable Economic Empowerment, which will utilize AI, cloud computing, digital twins, IoT, and blockchain to improve efficiency and sustainability while encouraging financial inclusion and job creation. According to empirical findings by PwC, NITI Aayog and other relevant sources. AI can add USD 135-150 billion of value to MSMEs' manufacturing production by 2035. At the same time, it can help achieve the value of USD 3.13 - 3.21 trillion for the entire economy if MSMEs account for 50% of manufacturing gross value-added. Digitalization has already helped achieve over 100 billion UPI transactions, saving the country's INR 3.48 trillion through Direct Benefit Transfers. This paper employs literature review, secondary research and case studies to bring out the advantages associated with cost saving between 15% and 25% sustainability indicators, and resilience following disruptions. Obstacles in the form of digital divide, cybersecurity issues, skill gaps and expensive MSME adoption are explored in detail. The policy suggestions include partnership between government and private firms, scaling up of India AI Mission, edge AI deployment and greener computing. In this framework, technology emerging as the enabler of growth with economic empowerment and environmental conservation in India, which is aiming for a $30 - $35 trillion economy.

 Abstract

India's post-independence democratic trajectory has long been celebrated as an extraordinary experiment in self-governance within a highly diverse, deeply stratified society. However, the first quarter of the twenty-first century has brought with it an array of structural strains, institutional recalibrations, and normative contests that compel a sober re-examination of the democratic health of the world's most populous nation-state. This article undertakes a systematic introspective analysis of recent trends shaping Indian democracy, with particular attention to the period from 2014 to 2024. Drawing on a mixed theoretical framework that incorporates Dahl's conception of polyarchy, Levitsky and Zi blatt's theory of democratic erosion, and Schedler's electoral authoritarianism paradigm, the study examines five critical dimensions: electoral integrity and the consolidation of party dominance; institutional independence, especially the judiciary, Election Commission, and investigative agencies; civil liberties, freedom of expression, and media pluralism; the relationship between majoritarianism and minority rights; and the resilience demonstrated by democratic forces in the 2024 general elections. Empirical evidence is drawn from V-Dem indices, Freedom House assessments, Economist Intelligence Unit Democracy Index data, and legislative records. The findings indicate that while India retains core features of electoral democracy, a measurable erosion of liberal-democratic norms-particularly in civil liberties, media freedom, and institutional autonomy-has occurred, warranting classification as a competitive authoritarian regime rather than a full democracy. Simultaneously, the 2024 electoral outcome signals residual democratic resilience and the continuing vitality of citizen agency. The paper concludes by mapping pathways for democratic renewal and highlights the theoretical implications of the Indian case for the comparative study of democratic backsliding in the Global South.
