 Abstract

Background: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder characterised by chronic low-grade inflammation, insulin resistance, and hormonal dysregulation. The Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) is a validated tool for quantifying the inflammatory potential of diet; however, its relationship with nutritional adequacy and gastrointestinal (GI) health in women with PCOS remains underexplored, particularly in the Indian context. Objective: To assess the association between dietary inflammatory potential (measured by DII) and gut health in women diagnosed with PCOS in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Methods: A cross-sectional, observational study was conducted among 100 women aged 18-35 years with confirmed PCOS (Rotterdam Criteria). Participants were classified into anti-inflammatory (DII < -1, n = 34), moderate inflammatory (DII -1 to +1, n = 32), and pro-inflammatory (DII > +1, n = 34) categories. Dietary intake was assessed using a 24-hour dietary recall and a semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Gut health was evaluated using the Gut Health Appraisal Questionnaire. Data were analysed using SPSS v21.0; chi-square tests and one-way ANOVA were applied as appropriate, with significance set at p < 0.05. Results: Demographic characteristics were homogeneous across DII categories, with no statistically significant associations for any sociodemographic variable. The anti-inflammatory group demonstrated significantly higher intakes of energy, protein, carbohydrates, dietary fibre, folate, beta-carotene, magnesium, calcium, iron, and zinc compared to the pro-inflammatory group. Despite this, micronutrient inadequacy, particularly for iron, calcium, folate, and vitamin A, was pervasive across all groups. Fat intake exceeded 110% of the RDA uniformly across all categories. No gastrointestinal symptom showed a statistically significant difference across DII groups, and the overall Pearson correlation between DII and total gut health score was weak and non-significant (r = -0.076, p = 0.453). Conclusion: A pro-inflammatory dietary pattern was associated with a nutritionally inferior diet in women with PCOS, though GI symptom burden did not differ significantly by dietary inflammatory status.  Abstract

Siraja Granthi is a Granthi Roga described in Ayurvedic classics, characterized by aggravated Vata affecting the Sira, leading to Sampidana, Sankochana, Vakri and Vishoshana, resulting in Granthi formation. Its clinical features, such as dilated, tortuous, and elongated veins associated with pain and discomfort, closely resemble Varicose Veins. Varicose veins commonly affect the lower limbs due to venous valve incompetence. The highest prevalence of varicose veins is observed in the 55-64 years age group, with females being more commonly affected than males. Aims and Objectives: To study the effect of Yavaadi Upanaha with Internal Administration of Kaishora Guggulu in the management of Siraja Granthi w.s.r to Varicose Veins. Materials and Methods: In the present study, a patient attending the Shalya Tantra OPD with clinical features of Sampidana and Vakri of the Siras in the left lower limb was taken up for the study. Intervention: Yavaadi Upanaha externally and Kaishora Guggulu internally for 7 days. Results: Satisfactory relief was seen in signs and symptoms and improved quality of life after treatment. Conclusion: The study proved that was Siraja Granthi effectively managed by Yavaadi Upanaha with Internal Administration of Kaishora Guggulu.

 Abstract

The history of music has been frequently presented through a Eurocentric framework in which the evolution of European art music is portrayed as the primary narrative of musical progress. Approaches like these have often separated non-European traditions into ethnomusicological categories rather than incorporating them into a unified historical understanding of global musical development. This study critically examines the evolution of music from prehistoric societies to the contemporary era by analysing the musical histories of Europe, India, China, Japan, America and Africa. Using a qualitative historical methodology supported by comparative, precolonial and postcolonial perspectives, this research also investigates the roles of migration, trade, religion, colonialism, technological innovation, and cultural exchange in shaping musical traditions from the beginning of human life. The findings demonstrate that musical evolution has never been a linear process centred on a single civilisation. Instead, music developed through parallel cultural trajectories and continuous intercultural interaction. While European musical systems significantly influenced global musical practices, non-European traditions equally contributed to modern musical structures, aesthetics, instruments, and performance practices.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Parikartika is one of the most painful anorectal disorder .It can be correlated with fissure in ano in contemporary science and characterized by severe cutting pain in the anal region during and after defecation .This condition commonly arises due to nidanas such as intake of ruksha ,katu ahara , irregular bowel habits ,excessive straining during defecation1 . Clinically, patients present with pain, burning sensation, bleeding per rectum and sphincter spasm. Aims and Objectives:To study the effect of Nyagrodadi Rectal suppository in the management of Parikartika w.s.r acute fissure in ano. Materials and Methods: The case regestired at shalyatantra OPD with chief complaints of Kartanavat Vedana in the anal region, Gudadaha, Gudagata Raktasrava, vibandha. Intervention: Nyagrodadi Rectal Suppository for 7 days Result: Significant result was seen in signs and symptoms and improvement in quality of life after treatment Conclusion: The study proved that Parikartika can be effectively managed by Nyagrodadi Rectal Suppository.

 Abstract

A hand gesture recognition system provides a natural, innovative and modern way of nonverbal communication. In this project, we have created an AI-based Mouse Controller. It will first detect the hand landmarks, then track and then perform functions. The virtual mouse will be operated without touching any device or screen. This project represents a concept of controlling our video display with the assistance of hand gestures, which relies on one in each of the studies of Human Computer Interaction. This project shows that we are able to control our screen by moving our fingers which will work as cursor. To make this happen, all we need a working webcam and three main algorithms that are, mediapipe, OpenCV and autopy. Mediapipe is employed for hand tracking, OpenCV for image processing and drawing and at last autopy for controlling the mouse movement and its functioning. Our proposed project is on hand gesturebased system that allows users to control desktop mouse movements using hand gesture. To detect hand gesture movements, our system makes use of a desktop webcam. The goal is to control mouse cursor functions with a simple camera or webcam rather than a traditional or standard devices. Using only a camera, the Virtual Mouse provides an infrastructure between the user and the machine. It enables the user to interact with a machine without the need for any mechanical or physical devices, and even allows to control mouse functions.

 Abstract

This research presents the development of a real-time face tracking infrared (IR) turret that integrates computer vision algorithms with embedded hardware control for autonomous surveillance applications. The system employs Python and OpenCV libraries to process live video streams, utilizing Haar Cascade classifiers for efficient facial detection. Detected facial coordinates are transmitted via serial communication to an Arduino microcontroller, which generates Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals to control servo motors for pan-tilt orientation. An additional IR receiver module enables remote-triggered firing functionality, enhancing interactive automation capabilities. The proposed design demonstrates the synergy between image processing, serial communication, and servo-based mechanical control, resulting in a low-cost, scalable prototype suitable for academic research, robotics, and smart surveillance systems. Experimental results validate the feasibility of combining open-source software with readily available hardware to achieve intelligent motion-based tracking, highlighting its potential for future advancements in autonomous monitoring and human-machine interaction.

 Abstract

.Abstract This study aims to examine the awareness of the stock markets and the resulting investment behaviour of educated youths in Ranchi, Jharkhand, which is an important Tier-2 city in Eastern India. Traditionally, it is known for being populated with a conservative group who prefer investments in conventional instruments such as fixed deposits and gold. However, the city is now undergoing a transformation owing to the technological revolution and information availability. In particular, the research focuses on "educated youths," aged between 18 and 40 years, comprising university students and early-career employees, to test the importance of education in investment behaviour. Through a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches in research methodology, the paper employs primary data obtained via a random stratified sampling method using 160 samples.The purpose is to examine the level of genuine market knowledge and not just social media interaction, as well as the impact of an education foundation in commerce on the selection of either traditional or modern financial products. Early analysis indicates a significant area of research that is yet to be explored: even though digital media have made it possible for people to enter into the market, most of the time, there will be "digital herd mentality," and the impact of "finfluencers" makes investment decisions more speculative than intelligent money management. In addition to this, the research will explore the concept of "socio-cultural friction" that exists in Ranchi because young investors face a challenge in balancing the need to make a mark financially against the intergenerational conditioning from their parents.  Abstract

This paper explores the educational environment of migrant bilingual learners in Kerala. It also examines the impact of multimedia in their learning experience. Migrant children and adult learners who come to Kerala for work bring with them varied linguistic backgrounds. It paves the way for unique challenges for educational inclusion, acquisition of knowledge and academic achievement. There is a huge rise in the population of migrant student populations in Kerala's schools and non-formal education programs. It is the need of the hour to understand how multimedia tools influence learning. Using policy reports, qualitative studies and educational initiatives in Kerala this paper examines systematic challenges, gaps in pedagogy and significance for policy and practice.

 Abstract

Between 2019 and 2024, State Bank of India achieved a significant improvement in asset quality and profitability. It cleaned up one of the biggest bad-loan piles in global banking history and came out profitable, growing, and arguably stronger than it had been in a decade. This paper looks at how that happened. We examine the asset quality data across those five years, trace the risk management interventions that drove the recovery, and try to make sense of what the SBI story actually tells us about banking reforms in India. The paper draws on published financial statements, Reserve Bank of India reports, and a body of academic literature on non-performing assets (NPAs), credit risk, and bank turnaround strategies. The findings suggest that the recovery was not accidental. It came from a combination of regulatory pressure, internal governance reforms, improved credit appraisal, and a macroeconomic environment that at least from 2022 onward cooperated. But questions remain about sustainability, especially in a slowing credit cycle.

Ficus religiosa Linn is a large evergreen tree found throughout India, wild as well as cultivated. It is popular indigenous system of medicine like Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy. In traditional system of medicine, various parts such as stem bark, root bark aerial roots, vegetative buds, leaves, fruits and latex are used in diabetes, vomiting, burns, gynaecological problems, dysentery, diarrhea, nervous disorders, tonic and astringent. Phytochemical investigation of plant barks, showed the presence tannins, saponins, flavonoids, steroids, terpenoids and cardiac glycosides.
