The impartial of a firm is to allocate the resources in a way that meets the objective of maximizing wealth of all stakeholders by increasing the efficiency of the resources of the business. The dividend policy is focused on determining the returns to the shareholder from the earnings of the business. The objective of this study is to (i) investigate the annual dividend return by the sample of S&P BSE 500, BSE listed firms in India and (ii) investigate the dividend payout policy of the sample firms. Considering the usable sample of 164 companies, grouped into thirty-nine industry for the period from FY2015-16 to FY2018-19 i.e. span of 4 years shows results that the sample firms has been steady on an aggregate level in dividend payout policy and shows resistance with respect to change in policy. The overall performance of sample companies shows that the 4-year average of dividend yield was 1.53% with a variability range from 0.08% to 6.92%. Similarly, the dividend payout policy as measured in proportion of EPS and Cash EPS shows 4-year average as 39% and 29% respectively. The results also showed that on an average the architecture and engineering activities; technical testing and analysis (NIC code 71) has given the maximum dividend yield (6%). The dividend payout in proportion of EPS was highest (77%) for the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (NIC code 25) and dividend payout in proportion of cash EPS, the financial service activities, except insurance and Pension funding (NIC code 64) was highest (69%). In both the proportions, information service activities (NIC code 61) has recorded the minimum (1%).

Automatic Emotion Recognition from audio signals is a challenging task for machines however it is quite easy for human. The audio signals vary according to different features such as pitch, loudness, timbre, speech rate and pauses. In this work, speech emotions were classified seven different emotions namely happy, sad, surprised, neural, angry, disgust, fear. A convolution neural network of nine layers has been applied to classify above emotions. Feature extraction is done through Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC).

Mechanical ventilation associated with delirium is the most commonly reported repercussion in intensive care unit patients, characterized by hypoxia, inflammatory storm and sometimes due to sedatives. The most common types of delirium in this cohort patients are hypoactive and mixed-type of delirium which develops in 2-24 hours from admission. Delirium is known to develop due to an imbalance in the synthesis, release, and inactivation of some neurotransmitters, specifically by acetylcholine deficiency and dopamine activation. Delirium usually presents as a group of symptoms with an acute onset and a fluctuating course which have been categorized into cognitive and behavioral groups. This is a prospective observational cohort study conducted at Gleneagles Aware Global Hospitals, L.B Nagar, Hyderabad. for a study period of six months. 200 patients admitted with the hospitalization history of more than 24 hours in critical care units were enrolled as study population. Patient data collection form, contains the socio-demographic details of the patients and Observational study Informed Consent form was prepared for patients understanding for agreeing to participate in the study. In this study, out of the 200 study population 133 patients were not ventilated during the course of therapy in the ICU based on current disease state (66.5%) in which 25 developed mild, 22 developed moderate, 14 developed severe type of delirium and 72 were assessed to be non-delirious. Out of 67 ventilated patients based on current therapy in the ICU (33.5%), 8 developed mild, 13 developed moderate, 41 developed severe type of delirium and 5 were assessed to be non-delirious and from the P-value <0.0001, there is significant correlation between mechanical ventilation due to current disease status and development of delirium in ICU. Mechanically ventilated patients were assessed (92.5%) to be at greater risk of developing delirium compared to that are not ventilated. Ventilation is clinically significant (P-value <0.0001) when correlated to delirium, indicating ICU patients are at risk of developing delirium which is temporary within the ICU during the course of hospitalization (resolves with relevant patient orientated management).

The building industry has seen a shift towards energy efficiency in last few decades. This shift in combination with requirements of aesthetics, low cost, easy installation, and low maintenance have resulted in the use of claddings (such as ACP) and ventilated (rainscreen) faade system. It is evident from recent fire events globally that vertical spread of fire through these claddings and facades can be extremely rapid leading to insignificant time for evacuation, ultimately to loss of lives and property. There has been considerable research on the topic. However, the available knowledge is not being implemented and there is insignificant work regarding codes and regulations in many counties. Indian building industry has outgrown in last few decades with many high-rise buildings coming-up and Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) has become a popular material for cladding. Production and use of ACP is increasing in an unregulated manner. Furthermore, Indian climate has promoted the use of ventilated faade in many of its cities, which in combination with the ACP can intensify the rapid vertical spread of fire in high-rise buildings. All of these presents sufficient fire risks in near future, which must be considered. This paper examines the sufficiency of Indian building codes and regulations to tackle the issue and presents its comparative analysis with codes and standards of other countries (UK, UAE, Australia, and International Building Code) where regulatory changes and code modifications have been carried out regarding flammable facades and cladding. The paper ultimately presents a set of suggestive guidelines that can address the issue in India. The guidelines have been drafted on the basis opinion, comment and suggestion of experts from Bureau of Indian Standards, fire committee of National Building Code of India, fire safety service consultant, academic experts involved in similar research in the form of semi-structured interview. The guidelines also incorporate learnings taken from review of other codes.

The optimal allocation of resources to different project tasks involving different and usually conflicting objectives is one of the recurring challenges for a project manager. The main aim of this research is to optimize the time and cost of a project by analyzing their trade-off. Time cost optimization is one of the main obstacles in project scheduling. This paper proposes a new approach for time cost optimization with fuzzy logic in MATLAB. The project direct cost is altered by difference in resource utilization and Activity duration. The proposed model is formulated using fuzzy theory combining CPM computations, time-cost trade off analysis. By adopting the MATLAB software for ranking process, for each case facilitates obtaining the optimum result. Therefore, through this process now the decision-maker can quite precisely estimate the effect of the project deadline on a total project cost before the submission of a tender. The advantages of the proposed approach are demonstrated through an application example and with an example of the time-cost trade-off analysis.
