Odisha has been witnessing about seven lakh inter-state migratory workers working in the destination states under the process of liberalisation and industrialisation. Inter-state migration is nothing new, but it has risen as a crucial issue recently after the hasty shutdown of the country. In the current scenario when COVID-19 is declared as epidemic in India, huge exodus at inter-state level is reached at its highest in Odisha with five lakh migrants returning to their parent/original state till June 2020. Huge inter-state migration has been triggering amid lockdown due to the anticipation of job loss, destabilisation of economies and worsened food security, which is overblown in backward state like Odisha, largely dependent on a migrant workforce. Now, the life of migrants is full of insecurity and uncertainty from the perspective of economic, food, employment, psychological, and health factors. It poses key concern for Odisha in various ways such as in terms of employment, policies, economic and health matters. The present paper aimed to find out inter-state migration in Odisha amid epidemic and shutdown and how our state, political leaders, planners and policy makers are concerned and prepared to look at the issue of great bulk of the amorphous informal workforce with gravity amid lockdown and the study is an effort of searching for certain measures to sort-out this issue.

Cognitive radio provides good clarification to spectrum shortage problem to accommodate new wireless applications. The network selection is an important mechanism in cognitive radio heterogeneous network ) to provide optimal Quality of Service to both Primary Users and Secondary Users. The aim of this work is to provide optimal QoS to SUs by appropriate network selection and channel assignment. The proposed FACOCRA (Fuzzy Ant Colony optimization based cognitive routing algorithm) selects the best network while maximizing the data rate and minimizing the interference and cost simultaneously. Simulation results show the attractive performance of our proposed algorithm.

This paper examines the representation of diasporic Arab female writers experience in the American society. The paper discusses the diasporic identity and consciousness in Arab diasporic fiction in the United States. It also traces the ways in which Arab diasporic women encounter the sense of otherness and multiple forms of exclusion that builds their estrangement in the diaspora. The study draws on several theoretical models such as cultural assimilation and trauma. However the three female characters in the novel reconstruct identity through interaction between old homeland and the new host society and between the eastern culture and the western culture. It reflects how they appear as a hyphenated subjects, depicting the challenge of cultural conflict and the sense of displacement. This paper tries to answer questions like: Are the Arab diasporic female characters able to assimilate and integrate with American culture?, Are they able to compromise between their Arabic traditional cultures of their Homeland with the culture of the host land? and Does American culture affect the behavior of these female Arab Immigrants? The paper exposes the hybridity and diversity of these Arab diasporic female characters. The character Hala desires to be accepted by the American people, experiencing as a consequence, a kind of frustrated assimilation. The conflict between what she experiences in America and what her family wants her to be. Also the paper sheds light on the stereotypes of the Arab immigrants in the American society. It shows how the character Khadija suffers the acculturation and how she couldnt adjust herself with her American friends and their open sexual relationships which are against her Arabic culture.

The Sentiment Analysis is the process use to determine the semantic orientation of the reviews. There are many algorithms are exists for the sentiment classification. Support vector machines are a specific type of machine learning algorithm used for many statistical learning problems, such as text classification, spam filtering, face and object recognition, handwriting analysis and countless others. Ideas and opinions of peoples are influenced by the opinions of other peoples. Lot of research is going on analysis of reviews given by peoples. Big data is an assortment of large data sets where data is present either in structured or unstructured form. With the advent of social media websites, online user opinions are acquiring more heed of researches because beneficial information about different subjects is available on social media. In this paper we proposed a system which involves collecting data from social network using the Google, Flipkart, Twitter and Facebook APIs. Then, the challenges of big data a resolved using Hadoop through MapReduce framework where the complete data is mapped and reduced to smaller sizable data to ease of handling and finally includes analyzing the collected data and represent the results through graphs.

Todays security purpose, face recognition system approach is used in biometric systems, face recognition is widely used for security purposes as compared to the other systems that are used in security purposes. Face recognition systems are also easily spoofed and unsafe for our security system because face recognition can be done by the images, video frames. Images or videos of a person can be easily available from social media or the internet and can be easily downloaded. Also, pictures of a person can be captured from some distance. As there are more applications, where face recognition is used, this act of sealing and identifying is becoming more serious as people think. To protect from this kind of scams and spoofing, liveness detection technology has been implemented in our system.

Abstract: Machine Learning algorithms are being widely used in the prediction of cancer type based on the past data. The machine learning algorithm is trained with past data that can be used to predict the type and severity of cancer, which can help the medical professional in treating cancer. The early and quick diagnosis of a cancer type have become a necessity in cancer research. In this study, the past data is pre-processed and was used to train several different machine learning models such as Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, K-Nearest Neighbour with the comparison of each model using Log-loss and Accuracy as performance metric. The result obtained after comparison of each model was the Logistic Regression with feature engineering attained the highest accuracy and least log-loss in both training and testing of our data.

Medicinal plants are being widely used in India directly in folk medicine. Burgeoning interest in herbal plants has increased scientific scrutiny for their therapeutic potential and safety. In spite of advances made available in allopathic medicine, so far no effective anticancer drugs are available due to its side effects. Sorghum bicolor is commercial plant in India. The grains are used as source of food, whereas the bran is usually discarded as waste. The bran is rich in anthocyanins. The anthocyanins are isolated, its efficacy as nanoparticle and antioxidant is evaluated in the present study. The observations of the study confirms the antioxidant nature of the nanoparticles of sorghum bran.

Trade involves the transfer of goods to services from one person or entity to another, often in exchange for money . A system or network that allows trade is called a market. An early form of trade, barter , saw the direct exchange of goods and services. Barter involves trading things without the use of money. Trade originated with human communication in pre historic times. Trading was the main facility of pre-historic people, who bartered goods and services from each other before the innovation of modern day currency.

The phenomenon of economic development is a composite of several, factors, which may not necessary have economic connotations; The contribution of human resource to economic growth of any country cannot be overemphasized, especially in a country like India which is still reeling under the pressures of its mammoth population and limited capital resource. The Indian economy can well be studied in two distinct sectors, organized and unorganized (informal). The widespread informal sector in the country is a major contributor to its development but at the same time it is plagued by several problems such as no proper service rules, no wage rules and no possibilities of career advancement. Another notable fact is that as many as 94% of total women workers work in the informal sector in India but they have to face gender discrimination which is almost inexistent in formal sector. Besides, their contribution in terms of income generation turns out to be less than their male counterparts, which means almost half of the population, contribute to less than to half the national income. The present paper aims at understanding this lopsided utilization of human capital and its fall outs.
