Cricket arrived in India as a colonial import, an elite pastime reserved for the British and their clubs. But over time, Indians made the game their own, using it as a platform for self-expression, identity, and even resistance. Nowhere was this shift more apparent than in Bombay, where cricket became deeply intertwined with the city's social and religious fabric. The Pentangular Tournament played between teams divided along communal lines--Hindus, Muslims, Parsees, Europeans, and "the Rest"--gave Indian players a rare public platform. Yet, it also reinforced religious divisions, fueling debates about nationalism and unity. This paper explores how cricket, especially through the Pentangular, became more than just a sport--it reflected and shaped issues of caste, religion, and anti-colonial struggle in late colonial Bombay. It examines how the game was both a tool of British control and a symbol of Indian defiance, deepening divides while also forging a sense of national identity. By contrasting the communal structure of the Pentangular with the more inclusive vision of the Ranji Trophy, this study reveals how cricket played a pivotal role in India's journey toward independence.

India is a fast-growing country and also has a large workforce. According to the United Nations data by Worldmeter's, the current population of India is 1.4 billion. At the same time, unemployment is a constant problem in India due to the excessive growth of the population. It is true that unemployment is prevalent in the country. But, at the same time, there are still some sectors or industries that are not doing organized business in India. In the Indian context, social security is a comprehensive approach designed to prevent deprivation, ensure a basic minimum income to the individual for himself and his dependents, and protect the individual from any uncertainties. The Central and State Governments are taking several steps to provide social security to the unorganised workers in the country, but workers in the unorganised sector do not get any such protection. With a view to providing social security to the unorganized workers, the Government of India enacted the "Unorganized Workers Social Security Act, 2008" (UWSSA). Therefore, the primary objective of this study is the reality of the working conditions of the workers in the unorganised sector and the facilities provided by the employers, i.e. on-the-job and post-employment benefits. The descriptive research method has been used. To determine and identify the sample workers multi-stage random sampling technique was used. The Mayiladuthurai district was purposively selected and 290 unorganised sector workers were selected randomly from the sample revenue village panchayats. Based on the analysis result the study found that, majority of the unorganised workers opined that they have moderately and low level of perception on socio-economic contribution of UWSS Act to unorganised sector workers in different aspects and majority of the workers states that the unorganised sector companies not fully followed the UWSS Act in the study area.

Purpose: The study was conducted to understand the awareness and perceptions of tea pluckers of the tea garden regarding the symptoms of urinary tract infections (UTIs) according to a few demographic traits, including age, marital status, religion, and level of education. Objective: To assess the awareness and perceptions of female tea pluckers about symptomatic urinary tract infections among themselves. Methodology: The study utilized a descriptive research design, incorporating a survey method with a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire focused on demographic factors--age, marital status, religion, and educational qualifications--as independent variables. Additionally, it included statements to assess the dependent variables, namely 'awareness' and 'perception' of symptomatic urinary tract infections, using a 5-point Likert scale. A total of 617 participants were selected through stratified random sampling. The study employed statistical analyses, including the T-test, ANOVA, and Post hoc analysis using Tukey's HSD, to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. Findings: The findings of the study indicate a significant difference among groups of socio demographic factors when analyzing tea pluckers awareness of symptomatic urinary tract infections. Conversely, while examining perceptual differences regarding symptomatic urinary tract infections, significant differences were observed based on age and marital status. However, no significant differences were identified concerning religion and educational qualifications in relation to tea pluckers perception of symptomatic urinary tract infections. Research Limitations/Future Implications: Time and budget constraints, resulting in a small sample size, are among the study's limitations. Another limitation pertains to the measurement of tea pluckers' awareness and perception, as only a limited number of statements were considered. Future research could modify these measurement statements or incorporate alternative ones. Additionally, future studies may explore other socio-economic factors beyond those examined in this study. Furthermore, the study's scope is confined to a single district in the southern region of Assam.

Authentication is a fundamental security process that verifies user identity and can be implemented through various mechanisms, including tokens, biometrics, and text- or image-based passwords. At present single layered or double layered authentications systems are used, which may face security threats. This paper presents a multi-layered authentication framework combining textual, color-based, and image-based authentication to enhance security against cyber threats like brute-force attacks, phishing, and shoulder surfing. The system follows a three-phase authentication process: users enter a text password, select a pass-color from a hexagonal palette and complete authentication with image-based verification using the Playfair Cipher rule.
