The rapidly evolving global landscape demands a reimagination of higher education to address emerging societal needs. As India aims to become a $5 trillion economy by 2027, as outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address in 2019, the country's higher education system must evolve to meet the demands of this ambitious economic growth target. This vision is central to India's long-term economic strategy and underscores the importance of a skilled, knowledgeable workforce capable of driving the nation's development (Government of India, 2019), the education system must align with these ambitions. Traditional higher education institutions often struggle to produce graduates equipped with the skills and competencies needed for a dynamic job market. This paper explores the challenges of outdated curricula, limited interdisciplinarity, and inequitable access in Indian higher education. It emphasizes integrating technology, promoting lifelong learning, and addressing sustainability to meet the demands of the 21st century. By analyzing the Indian context, highlighting successful initiatives, and proposing actionable reforms, this study provides a roadmap for transforming higher education to support both national and global goals.

In the modern digital ecosystem, USB flash drives remain indispensable for data portability, yet they also pose significant cybersecurity threats due to their vulnerability to malware injection and covert data exfiltration. Traditional defense mechanisms, such as antivirus software and access control policies, often rely on static or signature-based methods that fail to detect zero-day or polymorphic attacks. Additionally, manual backup solutions and weak endpoint protections increase the risk of irreversible data loss and unauthorized access. This paper introduces spyUSB, a multi-layered security framework designed to protect USB devices through the integration of machine learning, secure data masking, and cloud-based recovery mechanisms. At its core is spyNet, a Deep Neural Network (DNN) trained to classify malicious file behaviors in real time. Complementing this is CloudConceal, a secure cloud backup module that encrypts and preserves critical files, and a tokenization-based data masking system that obfuscates sensitive content to prevent exploitation. spyUSB also features real-time alerting, behavioral monitoring, and a dual-interface design for administrators and end-users. The system was evaluated in real-world scenarios, achieving a malware detection accuracy of 96%, with 100% success in automated data backup and recovery. By addressing prevention, detection, and recovery in a unified solution, spyUSB significantly enhances endpoint resilience against USB-borne threats and is adaptable to both individual and enterprise-level deployments.

The transition towards sustainable transportation has necessitated the development of efficient and eco-friendly electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Conventional plug-in charging methods suffer from long charging times, reliance on grid power, and operational inefficiencies. To address these challenges, this research presents an innovative hybrid-powered wireless lane charging station, integrating solar and wind energy sources with Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT) technology to enable continuous, in-motion charging of EVs. A dual-input, single-output DC-DC chopper circuit is designed to efficiently regulate and combine power from renewable sources, ensuring a stable DC power supply for wireless energy transfer. Simulation and prototype testing results demonstrate that the hybrid-powered system effectively delivers consistent energy to moving electric vehicles, enhances energy utilization and reduces grid dependency. The integration of green energy sources into wireless charging infrastructure paves the way for a sustainable, efficient and intelligent transportation ecosystem.

The potential to improve learning outcomes and increase student engagement, the combination of Augmented Reality (AR) and serious games (SGs) has drawn more attention in educational settings. Nonetheless, more thorough understanding of the particular teaching methods and components of game design that maximize the usefulness of SGs based on Augmented Reality in learning environments. The purpose of this scoping study is to classify and identify the salient characteristics of effective game elements and instructional strategies in AR-based SGs. To classify these components, a thorough multidimensional taxonomy was created. The results show that AR has a favorable impact on behavior, cognition, emotion, motivation, skills, and overall performance, among other areas of student learning. Notwithstanding these encouraging results, the review emphasizes the necessity of additional empirical research to improve and broaden the application of AR in educational games especially that which incorporates data science approaches. These observations provide insightful advice for researchers and practitioners wishing to include Augmented Reality into SGs, promoting digital education and interactive learning. The study highlights the revolutionary potential of AR in education and offers a research roadmap to optimize its effects in the future.

This paper presents the use of a traditional PI (Proportional-Integral) controller in a Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) to improve power quality and compensate for reactive power in electrical distribution systems. It compares five different methods for generating reference currents needed by the DSTATCOM. The method chosen to extract these currents significantly affects the DSTATCOM's performance. When nonlinear loads are connected to a three-phase system, they cause voltage and current imbalances, making the supply system go out of phase. The DSTATCOM is used to correct this by aligning the phase of voltage and current and rebalancing the three-phase supply. The proposed PI controller-based DSTATCOM is implemented and tested using MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this control approach.

The ever-increasing volume of digital documents has made information retrieval a time-consuming and tedious task. PDF Chat Assistant aims to revolutionize document accessibility and interaction by allowing users to query and receive intelligent responses from PDF files using natural language. This AI-powered application leverages state-of-the-art technologies including Optical Character Recognition (OCR), semantic text chunking, vector embeddings, and transformer-based Large Language Models (LLMs) to facilitate accurate and context-aware responses strictly based on the contents of the uploaded PDF documents. Users can upload both text-based and scanned PDF files, which are first processed to extract readable content. If no direct text is available, OCR is applied to scanned pages to retrieve the text. The extracted content is then split into manageable chunks and converted into vector embeddings for semantic similarity search. When a user poses a question, the system checks for contextual relevance within the PDF and retrieves the most pertinent content chunks using FAISS, a high-performance similarity search library. These chunks are then passed to a pre-trained LLM (such as GPT-Neo 2.7B) to generate a human-like, document-specific response. The assistant is built using Python and Streamlit for the frontend, ensuring ease of use. By integrating modern NLP tools such as HuggingFace Transformers and LangChain's ConversationalRetrievalChain, the system maintains coherent and contextually appropriate conversations. Additionally, the assistant is designed to reject questions unrelated to the document content, ensuring its reliability and specificity. The PDF Chat Assistant is especially useful for students, researchers, legal professionals, and corporate users who need quick and precise information from large, complex documents. This paper presents the architecture, implementation, and evaluation of the system, highlighting its capabilities and potential applications.

Facial expression for emotion detection has always been an easy task for humans, but achieving the same task with a computer algorithm is quite challenging. With the recent advancement in computer vision and machine learning, it is possible to detect emotions from images. With the rapid increase of usage of Drug in our society this article aims to study the usage by providing proper counsel. The article mainly aims to find whether an individual is using drug or not by facial emotion recognition. A registered user can book a counseling session to help the individual to overcome the addictions. This paper aims to have a drug free society.
