This paper presents Sahaaya - Integrated Life Saving Services, a centralized emergency response system designed to provide real-time assistance by integrating multiple critical services such as ambulance booking, blood donation, and safety alert mechanisms into a unified digital platform. The proposed system implements a multi-layer service architecture comprising a Request Processing layer for handling user inputs and emergency requests, a Real-Time Communication layer for instant notifications and tracking using WebSocket-based communication, and a Service Integration layer that connects users with nearby service providers based on location and availability. The system is deployed using a scalable full-stack architecture with React/React Native frontend, Node.js backend, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL databases to ensure efficient data handling and secure communication. A priority-based request handling mechanism ensures faster response for critical emergencies, while integrated modules such as SOS alert system, live ambulance tracking, blood donor matching, and safety tools (including fake call feature) enhance system reliability and usability. A real-time dashboard interface provides live updates, request status tracking, and user interaction features for seamless coordination. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the system significantly reduces response time, improves service accessibility, and maintains stable performance under concurrent user requests, with emergency response actions processed within a few seconds under normal network conditions.

ABSTRACT: Women empowerment is a central concern of the 21st century. In India, it has gained considerable attention in recent years as it plays a crucial role in achieving inclusive and sustainable development. Women empowerment incorporates an environment wherein women can breathe without any fear of oppression, exploitation, or discrimination in a patriarchal or male-centric structure. In a developing country like India, achieving gender equality, social justice, human development, and sustainable growth is vital. Despite constitutional guarantees of equality and various government efforts, Indian women continue to face several issues. Women empowerment is still an illusion of reality. Various social evils related to women can be seen in daily life, like inequalities in employment and education, gender, caste, class, religion, and region. To eliminate these social evils, women's empowerment can be a crucial tool to enhance women's abilities. It can be very helpful in making strategic life choices. The main objectives of the study are to examine the current status of women's empowerment in India and to investigate the sociological factors that affect women's empowerment in India, with a particular focus on patriarchy, gender norms, caste, class, and institutional structures that shape women's access to resources and decision-making power. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical research design that is truly based upon secondary data sources. The findings of the study revealed that educational and health indicators are improved, but still gaps persist, especially among rural and marginalized women. Female labor force participation remains low that limits their economic empowerment. Patriarchal norms, unequal access to education and employment, and structural barriers continue to restrict women's substantive empowerment and decision-making power. The research study also discusses the role of family, community, government, and civil society in promoting women empowerment.

Social media posting has become an integral part of daily life among college students, influencing self-expression, social interaction, and online identity. While social media platforms provide opportunities for connection and visibility, there are growing concerns regarding the impact of frequent posting behaviour on students' mental health. The present study examines the impact of social media posting behaviour on the mental health of college students in Surat City, focusing on students enrolled in the Commerce and Management streams. Using a structured questionnaire and analysing 123 responses from colleges across Surat City using SPSS, the research examines four key factors influencing social media posting behaviour, including Social Approval, Social Comparison, Fear of Missing Out, and Habit or Addiction. The impact on mental health is assessed through four key indicators: anxiety, stress, depressive mood, and sleep and well-being. In the present study, Exploratory factor analysis identified two principal factors significantly affecting social media posting behaviour, Posting Habit and Comparison and Social Approval Seeking. Correlation and multiple regression techniques revealed statistically significant associations between social media posting behaviour and mental health outcomes. Results of the said study indicate that increased social media posting behaviour is associated with higher levels of psychological distress, including anxiety, stress, depressive mood, and sleep disturbance. The study highlights the need for greater awareness of responsible social media engagement among college students.
