Woman in the male dominated society has always been suppressed and marginalised. Specially in a middle-class Indian society, the woman's individual preferences are unheard and unrecognized. They have to remain 'silent' as their sole duty is to oblige the norms and rules imposed on them by the patriarchy. They are the victims of the exploitation and the violence of the man. Shashi Deshpande in her writings very minutely depicts the miserable condition of the woman in this Indian society. She gave the voice to the voiceless and has presented the inner psyche that has always remains unexpressed.

Couroupita guianensis is well known as cannonball tree. It is an endangered tree species native to tropical South America which belongs to Lecythidaceae family. The tree and its whole parts have immense medicinal and pharmacological values, beneficial to human societies. The present investigation is to protect and conserve its genetic resources by its multiplication through seed germination. The seeds were grown in medium like loamy soil, sandy soil and saw dust all mixed with vermicompost in 3:1.The parameters sets were percentage of seed germination, total mean height and number of leaves emergence during seedling formation. The parameters were analysed in every weeks and in between it was sprinkled with water to check the growth and development of experimental plants. The best response was seen in mixed sandy soil where average plant mean height (16.7 cm), total leaves emergence (10) and 90% seed germination were recorded.

Gender equality and women's empowerment are critical imperatives for achieving sustainable development and inclusive growth in India. Education plays a central role in advancing gender equality by empowering women with knowledge, skills, and opportunities for socio-economic advancement. This research article aims to explore the multifaceted relationship between education and the empowerment of women in India. This paper examines the role of education in women's empowerment in India, drawing on empirical evidence and scholarly research to explore key findings, challenges, and future directions. Despite progress made in promoting girls' education, significant gender disparities persist, particularly in access to quality education, retention rates, and learning outcomes. Socio-cultural norms, economic constraints, infrastructure deficits, and safety concerns continue to pose barriers to girls' education and women's empowerment. However, successful initiatives such as Project Nanhi Kali, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Scheme, and Educate Girls demonstrate the transformative impact of targeted interventions and community engagement in promoting girls' education and empowering women. Future research should adopt an intersectional approach, conduct longitudinal studies, and rigorously evaluate the impact of interventions to inform evidence-based policy action. Recommendations include addressing structural barriers, adopting empowerment approaches, fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships, and enhancing data collection and monitoring systems. By prioritizing these recommendations, India can build on existing progress and accelerate efforts towards achieving greater gender equality and women's empowerment, thereby unlocking the full potential of its human capital and fostering inclusive development.

The paper will focus on journey. And this journey is the journey of love of the protagonists of Kalidasa's classical drama, 'Abhijnana Shakuntalam' and William Wordsworth's Famous poem, 'Tintern Abbey'. It is a journey from union to re-union of the lovers, and it gets over three stages of love- Infatuation,Commitment and Spiritualism. These three stages always remind me the three states of mind as stated in the poem 'Tintern Abbey' by William Wordsworth, where the poet discusses the journey of mind- from ignorance to maturity, from physical to spiritual, from subjective to objective, from local to the universal. My target in this paper is to make a comparative study between the poem 'Tintern Abbey' and the drama'Abhijnana Shakuntalam' on the basis of the journey of love of the protagonists.
