They have no respect for their teachers. They are not earnest about their academic pursuits. They have no sense of discipline. These, and some more in the same strain are comments not about the students of present-day colleges and universities by some grumbling old professor. They are the comments of Plato about the students of his times. If this was what could be said of students of no less a teacher then Plato of his student's more than two millennia ago, do we have reason to complain about the state of education in our times?

The emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from chemical process industries poses significant environmental and health concerns. This paper provides an overview of various techniques utilized for the removal of VOCs from air emissions in these industries. The methods discussed include adsorption, absorption, catalytic oxidation, thermal oxidation, biological treatment, and membrane separation. Factors influencing the selection of suitable removal techniques, such as VOC concentration, flow rates, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance, are highlighted. The importance of employing efficient VOC removal methods for reducing environmental pollution, complying with regulations, and ensuring improved air quality for communities near industrial sites is emphasized. Overall, this paper serves as a comprehensive guide for understanding the basic of VOC removal techniques in chemical process industries to address emissions and environmental challenges effectively.

This research delves into the complexities of the caste system within the evolving urban landscapes of India. Utilizing Census data, scholarly articles, and reports, the study examines the interplay of migration patterns, occupational disparities, social hierarchies, educational dynamics, and challenges in fostering caste integration within urban settings. The findings underscore the entrenched socio-economic disparities among different caste groups, highlighting unequal access to resources and opportunities. However, amidst these challenges lie opportunities for inclusive growth through affirmative action policies and community-driven initiatives. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts among policymakers, urban planners, and civil society to create more inclusive urban spaces and transcend caste-based inequities.

Employability skills are a broad term for non-technical abilities and talents that have traditionally played a key role in productive and successful involvement of employees in their workplace. Employers are looking beyond traditional measurement of academic performance and they seek candidates with these employability skills while selecting employees. Therefore the graduates who are preparing to enter the job market should be well equipped with these essential skills. Generally, the employability skills comprises communication skill, team work skill, problem solving skill, initiative, planning and organizing skill, self management and technological skills.

The progress of a country depends upon the quality of its teachers. They are called nation builders. A good principal, magnificent building, sound infrastructure and good curriculum are useless, if the teachers in any institution are not with positive attitude towards teaching. Teaching is a very respectable profession but even then not all the teachers who are in this pious profession like it. Many prospective teachers join this profession not by choice but by chance or due to other reasons. They are disinterested towards teaching profession. They just take admission in B. Ed course as second choice, if they fail to seek admission in first choice like M.B.A., or any other courses according to their liking and they are generally dissatisfied throughout the training period. This study was conducted to study the attitudes of prospective-teachers towards teaching profession. A sample of 100 prospective teachers, 50 from private and 50 from Government B.Ed. colleges of Muktsar (Punjab) was taken through purposive convenient sampling method. "Teacher Attitude Inventory (TAI)" by Dr. S.P. Ahluwalia was used to collect the data. Mean, SD and t-test were used for the analysis of the data. Research findings revealed that there is no significant difference in the attitudes of prospective teachers studying in private and Government B.Ed. colleges. There is no significant difference in the attitudes of female and male prospective teachers towards teaching profession.

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels, often leading to systemic complications. Alloxan-induced diabetes in animal models has been widely used to simulate the pathophysiological aspects of diabetes and study potential therapeutic interventions. Emblica officinalis, commonly known as Indian gooseberry or Amla, has been recognized for its antidiabetic properties owing to its rich phytochemical composition. This study investigates the effects of Emblica officinalis on urea concentrations in diabetic alloxan-exposed mice, as altered urea levels are indicative of abnormal renal function and metabolic disturbances in diabetes. Male Swiss albino mice were divided into four groups: control, alloxan-induced diabetic, Emblica officinalis-treated, and Emblica officinalis-treated diabetic. Diabetes was induced in the respective groups by a single intraperitoneal injection of alloxan monohydrate, and the treatment group received daily oral doses of Emblica officinalis extract. After a specified treatment period, blood samples were collected, and serum urea concentrations were measured using standard biochemical assays. The results demonstrated that alloxan-induced diabetic mice exhibited significantly elevated serum urea levels compared to the control group, indicating impaired renal function, a common diabetic complication. Interestingly, the Emblica officinalis-treated diabetic group displayed a significant reduction in serum urea concentrations compared to the diabetic group, suggesting a potential ameliorative effect of Emblica officinalis on renal function in diabetic mice. The findings of this study highlight the beneficial impact of Emblica officinalis in mitigating urea concentration alterations associated with diabetes. The phytochemical constituents of Emblica officinalis, such as polyphenols and flavonoids, may contribute to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which could play a role in preserving renal function. Further investigations into the underlying mechanisms and long-term effects of Emblica officinalis on diabetic renal complications are warranted. In conclusion, Emblica officinalis supplementation may hold promise as a natural therapeutic approach to mitigate urea concentration abnormalities and potentially protect against renal dysfunction in diabetes. These findings contribute to our understanding of the potential health benefits of Emblica officinalis in managing diabetes-related complications.
