 Abstract

One of the key factors in achieving the optimum drug concentration in the systemic circulation for the desired (expected) pharmacological response is solubility, the phenomenon of solute dissolving in solvent to produce a homogeneous system. The main issue in developing formulations for new chemical entities as well as for generic development is low water solubility. Over 40% of the NCEs (new chemical entities) created by the pharmaceutical sector are essentially water insoluble. A significant difficulty for formulation scientists is solubility. Any medicine that is to be absorbed must be present in solution at the absorption site. Particle size reduction, crystal engineering, salt creation, solid dispersion, use of surfactants, complexation, and other techniques are used to increase the solubility of poorly soluble pharmaceuticals. These techniques include physical and chemical drug changes as well as additional approaches. A sulfonyl urea known glimepiride is used to treat type II diabetes. The chemical name for glimepiride is C24H34N4O5S, and it has a molecular weight of around 490.617 g/mol. It falls under the Biopharmaceutical Classification System's Class II. It is hardly soluble in various organic solvents and buffers, but entirely insoluble in water and acidic solutions. It is taken orally, is soluble in Dimethyl Sulfoxide but insoluble in water, methanol, or methylene chloride (dichloromethane) (DMSO). Given this, many generic medication manufacturers are more likely to create bioequivalent oral drug formulations. The poor bioavailability of oral dose forms, however, presents the biggest design problem. Aqueous solubility, drug permeability, dissolving rate, first-pass metabolism, presystemic metabolism, and sensitivity to efflux mechanisms are some of the variables that affect oral bioavailability. Poor solubility and inadequate permeability are the two most common causes of low oral bioavailability.

 Abstract

Everyone needs some norms to lead his/her life because norms make our life and working style smooth. In education and especially in higher education, some norms play very important roles. These norms may be in different forms. One form is professional ethics. Professional ethics are soul of higher education. This research paper is focused on the role and importance of professional ethics in higher education. Quantitative methods of research have been applied for the research. This paper included a survey to know the different aspects of professional ethics in higher education. The population of the research is college/university teachers and student from Delhi and NCR. The sample size is 200. This research paper is useful for teachers, students in higher education and researchers.

 Abstract

The lichen Parmelia perlata, often called black stone flower or Chharila, is a member of the Parmeliaceae family. It is spreading over the steep region of the Himalaya and North East India, growing in between the rocks, tree trunks, and ground. The plant's exterior coat is greenish black and white, and the thallus, which can grow up to 15 cm in diameter, is only weakly attached to the substrate. Its smooth upper surface is orbicular greyish white, while the lower surface is backish brown and hairy. Usnic acid, lecaronic acid, salazinic acid, and atronin, among other unique chemical components discovered in the lichen, have been traditionally given for bronchitis, excessive salivation, vomiting, toothaches, boils, and other inflammations, Aside from these conditions, it has also been linked to seminal weakness, nocturnal emission, amenorrhea, leucorrhea, dyspepsia, calculi, blood and heart conditions, stomach problems, enlarged spleen, bleeding piles, scabies, leprosy, general aches, etc. It strengthens the urinary system and inhibits the development of calculi. The primary goal of the current manuscript is to discuss the pharmacognostic information and pharmacological activity of this lichen.
