The United Nations (UN), formed in October 1945 as a successor to the League of Nations, has existed for over 75 years but has seen only five amendments to its charter. Can any constitution or law remain so static for decades without needing periodic updates? For comparison, India, with a similar age as the UN, has passed 106 constitutional amendments as of September 28, 2023. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar argued that a constitution meant to endure must be periodically amended to reflect societal progress. The UN Charter was last amended in 1965, twenty years after its formation, with no further amendments since then. The idea of the United Nations refined the concept of the League of Nations, which had faced harsh criticism from global leaders like Winston Churchill and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru notably described the League as a "club for imperialists," a statement that, decades later, still resonates. The League, born out of the Treaty of Versailles, failed to prevent the outbreak of World War II and was ultimately replaced by the United Nations. The UN's primary focus is to create and uphold peace. However, creating peace and contributing to its sustenance are two different challenges. While the UN has brought significant change, especially in Europe, where it has positively impacted 9.3% of the global population, this achievement raises a question: is European peace the sole success story of the United Nations? Many attribute much of Europe's unity and peace to the efforts of the European Union (EU), which played a crucial role in integrating European nations. This paper seeks to analyze whether the UN is effectively taking steps to uphold world peace and understanding in the modern world, assessing its relevance and performance beyond its historical successes.

One effective remedy for closure of cracks is the Bacterial Concrete (BC) which will continuously deposit calcite in concrete. This, phenomenon is called as Microbiologically Induced Calcite Precipitation (MICP). The urease enzyme enables the deposition of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) with the help of bacteria. The bacterial remediation technique surpasses other techniques as it is bio-based, eco-friendly and durable. Bacteria need to offer resistance to withstand high pH of concrete and mechanical stresses during mixing. In this paper, investigations are also carried out on durability-related properties such as saturated water absorption, porosity, sorptivity, permeability, acid resistance, sea water resistance, impact strength, rapid chloride penetration, corrosion resistance and alkalinity measurement of M20 grade of Bacterial concrete trial mixes. The results of the investigations demonstrate the superior durability characteristics of bacterial concrete. Based on the results obtained, it is understood that due to the inclusion of bacteria in concrete the durability of concrete can be enhanced. That is, bacteria can effectively be used to repair cracks. It is concluded that BM, BS and PA bacteria can safely be used for improving the performance of strength and durability characteristics of concrete. However, all the three bacteria increase the strength of concrete to a certain level only. BM bacteria is found to be more effective than BS and PA in strength and durability properties. The details of the investigations along with the results are presented.

ABSTRACT This study explores heart disease prediction using Single-Layer Perceptron (SLP) and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) models. The research begins with Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to gain insights into the dataset, including attribute types, data distribution, and identification of missing or duplicate values. The SLP model, with a single hidden layer, classifies patients based on essential clinical attributes, while the MLP model leverages multiple hidden layers for deeper feature extraction. The performance of both models was evaluated and compared based on accuracy. Results indicate that the SLP model outperforms the MLP in this specific context due to the dataset's linear separability. The study emphasizes the importance of selecting appropriate machine learning models based on dataset characteristics. Additionally, it highlights the need for careful handling of challenges and limitations to ensure robust predictions, ultimately supporting better clinical decision-making.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a herpesvirus that affects the majority of people worldwide. The virus can develop a long-term latent infection in the host's B lymphocytes. In immunosuppressed (e.g. post-transplant) patients, the disease can reactivate, and the most dangerous is after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), postlymphoproliferative disease (PTLD), which is increasingly the case. Several risk factors, including age, decreased immunity, EBV serologic incompatibility, and cytomegalovirus (CMV) reactivation, are associated with the development of PTLD. There are few clinical studies on PTLD and no clinical consensus, making the management of PTLD difficult. Although initial therapy includes weekly rituximab administration, there is no consensus on the treatment of rituximab-resistant PTLD. There are clinical studies evaluating the role of EBV-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) and newer drugs such as bortezomib, lenalidomide, everolimus, panobinostat, and brentuximab. This article aims to investigate the EBV-PTLD association in HSCT recipients, detailing clinical outcomes, risk factors, care, and treatment, thus highlighting the mystery that must be created to establish an appropriate treatment plan for all at-risk patients.

Our project's creative solution, the Automatic Room Light Controller, aims to improve interior areas' energy efficiency and user ease. By employing a PIR sensor to detect motion, the system is intended to automatically regulate a room's lighting, doing away with the need for human light control. The Automatic Room Light Controller's main goal is to cut down on wasteful energy use by making sure that lights only turn on when a room is inhabited. The light turns on when the sensor detects motion, and it automatically turns off after a certain amount of time if no movement is detected. Because it stops lights from being left on in unoccupied spaces, this technology saves a substantial amount of energy.

Abstract: Indian music is considered to have divine origins in Indian mythology. The first sage to be told the laws of music was Narada. Narada is credited with creating the oldest musical instrument, the Veena. The original vocalist was Tumburu. The goddess of music and education was Saraswati, and Bharata was the first to create the rules for theater, of which music was a significant and essential component. There are three main periods in Indian music history: ancient, medieval, and modern. The slokas that were set to music were found in the Sama Veda, which is where Indian music first began. Through the steady development of its own musical traits, Indian music evolved from ritualistic music in conjunction with folk music and other Indian musical traditions. Originally, music was an essential component of Indian socio-religious life. The result was the division of Indian music into two schools, the Carnatic and Hindustani systems, in the fourteenth century. These two branches developed and solidified their positions. The ideas of Raga, Tala, and musical genres were enhanced by the influx of countless musicologists and composers during this time. Based on ancient and medieval literature and customs, this essay explains how music fundamentally facilitates Hindu religious experience. It is made clear by giving numerous examples how the classical songs offer a greater understanding of the various musical genres that are currently prevalent in the Hindu and Yoga worlds while also containing the wisdom of Hinduism.
