 Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Overconfidence, Self-image/ firm image, Social Relevance, Advocate Recommendations, Personal Financial Needs on Stock Investment Decisions. The population of this research is stock investors who are trading shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The type of data in this research is quantitative. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. There were 386 respondents taken using a questionnaire through the survey method. This study used PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model) as a data analysis technique. The results showed that the variables of Overconfidence, Self-image/firm image, Social relevance, Advocate recommendation, Personal financial needs, each have a positive and significant influence on stock investment decisions.

 Abstract

Health insurance is a rapidly emerging social security instrument for the slum area households poor, for whom, chronic health problems, arising due to prevalence of diseases and inaccessibility to an affordable health care system is a major threat to their income earning capacity. Insurance is one of the risk management strategies. The need for an insurance system that works on the basic principle of pooling of risks of unexpected costs of persons falling ill and needing hospitalization by charging premium from a wider population base of the same community. There is a need to increase the awareness of health insurance among rural population therefore this study was undertaken.

 Abstract

Panchyat Raj System is meant for decentralized development planning and implementation their functions involve decision making on development activities at grass root level. The main responsibility of the Panchayati Raj Institutions is to accelerate the pace of development and involve all people in this process so that the felt needs of the people and their development aspirations are fulfilled. The decentralized planning is a multi-level planning process. It will have to start from lower level (Gram Panchayat), intermediate level (Mandal Parishad) and higher level (Zilla Parishad). The study was carried out YSR Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh, six mandals were selected for study i.e., CK. Dinne, Chakarayapeta, Galividu, Lakkireddypalli, Ramapuram and Rayachti mandals. The Random Sampling method was adopted. The samples were classified into three groups i.e., elected representatives in PRIs. The primary data was collected from Elected presentativeis in PRIs in six selected mandals. From each mandals 50 elected representatives were selected total samples size 300. The primary data was collected from respondents i.e., elected representatives in PRIs, in the year 2019-20.

 Abstract

In the present study, the decisiveness on and its effect on different dimensions of adjustment i.e. home, health, social, emotional and in total is examined. Differential Personality Scale developed and standardized by Sinha and Singh along with Mohsin-Shamshad Adaptation of Bell�s Adjustment Inventory was utilized for investigation. The respondents (N=480) were divided in high decisiveness group and low decisiveness group on the basis of scores obtained by them on Differential Personality Scale. Then the median value of the scores was calculated. Those falling at and above the median value were placed in high decisiveness group (N=240) and those falling below it were placed in low decisiveness group (N=240). Mohsin-Shamshad Adaptation Inventory was administered to the respondents of both the high decisiveness and the low decisiveness groups. For the analysis and treatment of the scores t-test, r-test and chi-square test were used. On the basis of analysis it was concluded that the high decisiveness group of subjects have better adjustment pattern than the low decisiveness group of subjects. Thus decisiveness and adjustment were found positively and significantly related.

 Abstract

Migration is the barometer of changing socio-economic and political condition at the natural and international level. Rural migration is the phenomenon that describes the movement of people from their villages to urban areas in search of a better livelihood. Migration occurs when the place of utility in a few sections becomes better than that of the present location. In the present study the attitude of migrant labour of North and South Bihar towards migration is compared and it is found that their attitude towards migration differs with each other. It is found that the migrant labours of North Bihar possess positive attitude towards migration as compared to the migrant labours of south Bihar. The majority of migrant labours of North Bihar are landless farmers who prefer to migrate to the big cities of the country and wish to improve their socio-economic status. They compare their income at destinations from income at their place of origin and migrate if the former is more than the later. The migrants also found that the engagement in non-agricultural activities was more fruitful than agricultural activities.

This research discusses about the design and development of an Earth Auger machine for plantation of Horticulture crop. Now the approach of this project is to develop the battery powered Soil digging machine which is to minimize the working cost and the time for the digging as well as operate on clean energy. Helical blade arrangements are presented with the potential for removing soil from earth to scale back plantation time. Design and Ansys of the machine is done and as per the results fabrication is done using Lithium Ion battery.

 Abstract

Chetan Bhagat and Ravinder Singh are known for the simplicity of language in their novels. Chetan Bhagat conveys his views in a realistic way through the novels which appeal the readers clearly. His novels are the beautiful portrayal of the lives of today�s youth. His novels present every aspect of youth life like emotions, likes and dislikes, hopes and aspirations and so on. He is well known as youth icon among Indian youth. Ravinder Singh has a reputation of a writer of love stories and young lovers who emerged in the scene of writing with his autobiographical love story �I Too Had a Love Story�. Both the authors support feminism directly or indirectly in their novels. Chetan Bhagat�s �Half Girlfriend� presents the character of Riya as a woman firm in her decisions and fully determinant. The same is visible in Ravinder Singh�s �Your Dreams Are Mine Now� in which Rupali is a strong character who fights for the right cause without caring about her own life. This paper throws light on the firmness of women characters.
