 Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has transformed the retail landscape in India, particularly in urban centers like Bengaluru. A multitude of demographic variables exert influence on an individual's inclination to engage in online purchasing activities. Age, for instance, often correlates with digital literacy and adoption rates, with younger demographics typically exhibiting greater comfort and familiarity with online platforms. Income levels also play a pivotal role, as higher disposable incomes may translate to increased purchasing power and a greater willingness to spend on online goods and services. This research paper aims to evaluate the influence of various demographic factors on online buying behaviors among consumers in Bengaluru. By analyzing age, gender, income, education, and occupation, this study seeks to provide insights into how these factors shape online shopping preferences and habits. An online survey of 513 respondents from different parts of Bangalore gave an insight into the influence of demographic factors influencing online buying. The findings will be beneficial for e-commerce businesses, marketers, and policymakers aiming to understand consumer behavior in the digital marketplace to develop marketing strategies to targeted towards specific group of consumers

 Abstract

In the rapidly evolving landscape of science and technology, the emergence and widespread adoption of social media and online communities have profoundly influenced the perceptions and interactions of Generation Z, encompassing individuals born between the mid-90s and early 2010s. This heightened focus on the impact of social media on society by both individuals and the media has gained traction in recent years. Delving into a specific examination of Generation Z and its relationship with social media, this paper seeks to shed light on the intricate psychological repercussions experienced by this unique cohort. Generation Z stands out from previous generations due to their formative years being predominantly shaped by a digital realm, a factor that underscores the urgency in scrutinizing the unprecedentedly intricate psychological challenges faced by individuals today. Drawing insights from existing literature, this research endeavors to unravel the multifaceted implications of social media and online communities on the psychological well-being of Generation Z. The findings suggest that social media exerts a considerable influence on the mental state of individuals, showcasing both positive and negative ramifications on contemporary society. While social media platforms serve as vital avenues for connectivity and self-expression, they also introduce a myriad of novel hurdles. Nurturing the mental health of young individuals navigating this digital domain necessitates a delicate balance between harnessing the positive attributes of social media and remaining vigilant about its potential adverse effects.

 Abstract

The portrayal of women in Indian writing has long captivated the attention of scholars and readers, sparking in-depth discussions about the multifaceted representation of female characters in literature. This paper delves into an insightful analysis of Preeti Shenoy's novel "The Secret Wish List," strategically shining a spotlight on the sheer brilliance of Shenoy's narrative style while delving into uncharted territories within Indian writing in English. Specifically, the exploration extends into the realms of humanism, fiction, and feminism, elucidating how these elements interplay in shaping the lives and experiences of characters like Diksha in the novel. Diksha, a poignant embodiment of modern women grappling with societal expectations, is artfully depicted as she navigates the intricate web of personal sacrifices and societal norms prevalent in a male-dominated milieu. Her poignant struggles underscore the harsh reality faced by many women, who find themselves confined to submissive roles, their aspirations shackled by societal constraints. Amidst these challenges, however, Shenoy beautifully accentuates the theme of individual agency, showcasing Diksha's inspiring journey towards self-realization and empowerment. Vibrant and compelling, the character of Vibha emerges as a beacon of hope and catalyst for change in Diksha's life, igniting a transformative path towards independence and personal fulfilment. Through this thoughtful analysis, the paper not only enriches the discourse on the representation of women in Indian literature but also underscores the critical need to delve deeper into the nuances of this vibrant literary tradition, thereby paving the way for a more nuanced and inclusive understanding of gender dynamics and societal constructs.

 Abstract

The Doiyang Dhansiri Valley civilization of Ancient period along with its unique art forms has great potential in academic history. In the context of Ancient Assam, only the kingdom of Pragjyotisha or Kamrupa bordering North Bengal, Tibet and Hills of Northern Assam had gained proper attention for years. In recent terms, the region of Doiyang Dhansiri civilization between parts of Assam and Nagaland border had came into limelight. Sprouted in the alluvial tracts of the Doiyang and Dhansiri river basins this civilization has unique essence of art yet to be studied. The archaeological sources, i.e. - inscriptions, monuments and sculptures of various medium (wood, stone, terracotta) portray an enrich art collection with salient features. Amides those sculptural remains hold special importance due to their religious, aesthetic and representational values. An inquisitive insight of insane craftsmanship and iconography along with societal values reflects through these art forms. Under the influence of Classical Gupta Art, the stone art of Doiyang Dhansiri Valley adopted fusion of various social elements and regional trends. These influences are evident in the structural features of sculptures, including wide open eyes, lack of spiritual expression, round faces, thick lips and stout bodies. According to H. N. Dutta, sculptures of around 600 AD to 900 AD exhibit distinct characters. This early phase of art movement began at Duborani making the tradition popular as Regional School of Duboroni Art. Scholars like M. N. Dutta traced the origins of these early art forms to Deopani. Since 900 AD, this regional school of art went out existence under the shadow of the East India School of Medieval Art (EISMA). This new style was marked by innovations, particularly in the carving of Kirttimukha and the facial treatment of some anthropomorphic sculptures.

 Abstract

Ultrasonic testing is essential for ensuring the safety and reliability of pipelines used for transporting H2, CO2, crude oil, and natural gas. Automated ultrasonic testing systems, employing arrays of transducers/probes arranged in fixed patterns such as X, I, K, on-bead, or wheel probes, are commonly used by manufacturers to detect both longitudinal and transverse defects in various types of pipes, including L-SAW, H-SAW, ERW, or seamless pipes. However, the challenge lies in detecting defects that can occur in any direction, necessitating the use of multiple transducers. While phased array probes are available, they still send ultrasound in a single direction with varying angles. In this study, I investigate the feasibility of using a single transducer/probe with multiple crystals mounted at different angles or a rotating transducer/probe which can scan in different directions to detect defects oriented in different directions. This approach leverages the law of reflection to maximize defect detection while minimizing the number of transducers/probes required, thus potentially enhancing both efficiency and cost-effectiveness in pipeline inspection processes.

Periodontitis, a widespread oral condition, can have far-reaching effects on overall bodily health. Research has increasingly explored the potential links between periodontitis and various blood disorders. This study reviews existing literature on the connection between periodontitis and certain blood conditions, including red blood cell disorders like aplastic anemia and sickle cell anemia, as well as white blood cell disorders such as cyclic neutropenia, leukemia, and multiple myeloma. By examining these relationships, healthcare professionals, including physicians and dentists, can improve diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients with both oral and blood disorders, emphasizing the importance of collaborative care for those affected by these interconnected conditions.
