 Abstract

QSAR analysis on a set of indolylpyrimidine derivatives compounds for (PA) antibacterial activity was performed by using multiple regression procedure. The activity contributions of these compounds were determined from regression equation and the validation procedure to analyze the predictive ability of QSAR model was described. The best QSAR model with good correlation coefficient (r2=0.8360), Q-ratio= 0.341, F-ratio =30.593 and N = 22. The leave-one-out (LOO) cross validation method using Ridge regression analysis was used in the future to confirm this model.

 Abstract

Gold loan is one of the easiest and simplest ways to access credit, which requires no additional security or guarantee other than Gold itself. The recognition of gold loan as an asset with almost zero risk, its upwards movement of rates created ample of opportunities for gold loan lenders to come up with new age practices and strategies. Even though gold loan is a simplest form of credit, in a country like India people will easily invest on the Gold specially in southern part of the country and treat it as a treasure of pride and prosperity. At the same time, it is necessary to convince the customer to come forward for gold loans and to make them aware about the hidden benefits of it and it is one of the challenges as well as an opportunity to come up with new age techniques and products by the lenders to sustain in the market. The subject study is an attempt to analyze the present market scenario of gold loans in peer banks and Non-Banking Financial companies (NBFCs) based on the secondary data to know their stand in this dynamic market. This study employed different peer banks and NBFCs who are lending gold loans and the analysis of financial statements of the selected banks and NBFCs. The results of the study depicted that every gold loan lender is in a race to overtake the other via different new age approaches and practices in lending and promotion. Hence it can be concluded that only time has to decide who will be the front runner and which strategy will work better to make their gold loan glitter in the market

 Abstract

A wind turbine is a device that converts the wind energy into rotational energy by means of vanes called blades. Usually wind turbines are coupled with electrical generators and producing electrical energy directly. In the present work, an attempt has been made which deals with a wind turbine based compressed air storage system. The stored compressed air is used to drive the air turbine without any fluctuations. The alternator is coupled with the shaft of the turbine rotor. Part of the power developed by the rotor is converted into electrical energy using an alternator and the remaining power available in the rotor (mechanical energy) is used to run the compressor and produces compressed air and stored in the storage tank. The stored compressed air is used to drive the air turbine to generate electricity without any fluctuations.

 Abstract

Abstract The Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire part of the Harry Potter series has blurred the line between the fantasy and reality. The author J K Rowling has used the power of fantasy to give wings to the imagination of her readers. This is the fourth part in the Harry Potter fantasy series. Literature has advanced over a period of few decades and everything done now has changed its course. Advances have brought the blessing of doing things differently and more efficiently. Fiction in literature has also evolved and now uses the fantasy framework to move on the path of scalability. Fantasy is the new term used for fiction in literature and has become very popular lately. Earlier the fiction in literature writing used to be very tedious and involved a lot of repetitive work which used to take days and was not even accurate. Now the times have changed and the world of fiction has brought a different perspective to the books. In this part of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter has reached to the fourth year in Hogwarts. The school of witchcraft has been phenomenal so far for the Harry Potter and his friends Ron Weasely and Hermoine.

 Abstract

Background: Life is a precious gift by god and it should be handled with care. Nursing professions is one of the main professions responsible for the care, to care the life of people by providing preventive, curative, promotive, restorative and rehabilitative care. Children are major consumers of health care. They are not only large in number but also vulnerable to various health problems and considered as special risk group. Children always need that special care to live and succeed. 2 Of the distraction methods used during Preschool age, audio-visual distraction is the more effective it is a easy, labor saving and easy to provide therapy that relieves pain and distress in children during painful procedures as similarly as and efficiently as common psychological interventions.2 Objectives: To assess the effectiveness of audio visual distraction on pain among children undergoing venipuncture in pediatric ward of selected hospitals. Methodology: a quasi experimental post test only control group design was adopted for the study. It was conducted over 60 pediatric (pre schooler age) patients and was selected by using Non probability purposive sampling technique and quota sampling techniques. Audio visual distraction therapy provided to pre schooler child before 5 minutes and during procedure and after the procedures for 5 minutes. Result: The study reveals that, In Experimental group (Group I) the mean score is 3.70 and standard deviation is 2.15 whereas, in Control group (Group II) the mean score is 7.83 and standard deviation is 1.48. The tabulated value for n=60 degree of freedom is 2.00. The calculated chi square value is 31.29. The calculated x2 value is higher than tabulated value at 5% level of significance which is statistically acceptable level of significance. Hence the research hypothesis H1 is accepted and null hypothesis H0 is rejected. Thus, it is statistically interpreted that there is a significant difference between mean pain score of patients who receive Audio visual distraction. , it shows that Audio visual distraction is more effective for reducing intensity of pain among preschoolers receiving venipuncture. Conclusion: The significantly association was found on pain score with age (in years), none of the other demographic variables were associated with pain score.
