This paper examines The Godfather as a cinematic text that constructs and legitimises a specific form of hegemonic masculinity rooted in patriarchy, power, and controlled violence. Rather than reading the film merely as a crime saga, the study argues that the Corleone family operates as a microcosm of patriarchal social order in which authority is inherited, masculinity is proven through dominance, and women are systematically excluded from decision-making processes. Drawing on theories of hegemonic masculinity and patriarchal power, the paper analyzes how male identity in the film is shaped through loyalty, emotional restraint, and the capacity to command fear. Michael Corleone's transformation from a reluctant outsider to an authoritarian patriarch becomes central to understanding how masculinity is not innate but socially produced through rituals of power, silence, and control. The argument of this paper is that this film not only represents the patriarchy inherent in Italian-American cultural history, but it also glorifies patriarchy through its cinematic language, narrative strategies, and character formation. The paper also foregrounds the gendered division between the public and private spheres, where men monopolize economic and political authority while women are confined to domestic, emotional, or symbolic roles. Female characters such as Kay Adams and Connie Corleone are used to reveal the costs of this masculine order, as their autonomy is repeatedly undermined through exclusion, silencing, and violence. Methodologically, the study employs close textual and visual analysis of key scenes and character arcs, situating the film within broader historical and cultural discussions on masculinity in mid-twentieth-century Western society. By doing so, the paper argues that The Godfather does not simply depict patriarchy but normalizes it by presenting masculine domination as both inevitable and necessary for order and survival.

Swami Vivekananda, one of the great religious and social thinkers of India, thought about the empowerment of women in the context of traditional Indian philosophy. His thoughts found its manifestation throughout his work and speeches, which are much more realistic mingled with spirituality rather than religious in nature. He was of the opinion that in the future Indian women would achieve the lost glory and find way forward. Every manifestation of power in universe is "Mother". He tried to enhance awareness, develop and empower women not only through education but also by enlightening them through the philosophy of Indian spiritualism, which might be considered as an effective system or approach in the process of empowering women. Swamiji's words echo a deep understanding of the inherent strength and spirituality that women possess. He emphasised the importance of chastity as a powerful virtue, recognised the sacredness of marriage and motherhood, and pondered the unique qualities of Indian womanhood.

Historically, the tribal economy lived in close touch with nature and its resources. Wachumaram tribal colony was an outcome of the displaced tribal community form the deep forest to a colony settlement. The state forcibly displaced them out of their home land- vast terrains of forest, and compelled them to settle in modern houses with very minimal facilities. This study addresses the transformation they have undergone since resettling in this colony. This paper addresses the living conditions of Kadar tribes such as housing, food habits, traditional knowledge, current means of livelihood, education and Health. Although the tribes in Vachumaram tribal colony are isolated from the mainstream society, there are many open windows to interact with modern society. The living conditions of Kadar in Vachumaram is a glaring example of alienation and miseries experienced by the tribes in general.

The Hubbard model plays a critical role in understanding strongly correlated electron systems, quantum phase transitions, and Mott-insulator states. Optical lattices created by intersecting laser beams offer an ideal experimental platform for simulating the Hubbard model with ultracold atoms, providing precise control over the interaction parameters. This study explores phase diagrams, critical points, and quantum fluctuations within the Hubbard model, extending previous studies through advanced numerical methods such as quantum Monte Carlo simulations. This study also examined coherent pairing states and quantum discord. By integrating experimental insights from fermionic transport in optical lattices, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of the application of the Hubbard model. The interplay between electron correlations and quantum phases is crucial for future studies of quantum materials, emphasizing the utility of optical lattices in validating theoretical predictions.
