To understand regionalism, we need to know various dimensions of the region. Region as a geographical unit, is delimited form each other. Region as a social system, reflects the relation between different human beings and groups. Regions are an organised cooperation in cultural, economic, political or military fields. Region acts as a subject with distinct identity, language, culture and tradition. Regionalism is an ideology and political movement that seeks to advance the causes of regions. As a process it plays role within the nation as well as outside the

In this paper, we present the efficient content based image retrieval systems which employ the color, texture and shape information of images to facilitate the retrieval process. For efficient feature extraction, we extract the color, texture and shape feature of images automatically using edge detection which is widely used in signal processing and image compression. For facilitated the speedy retrieval we are implements the antipole-tree algorithm for indexing the images.

This study examines the influence of television advertisements on the psychological, social, and moral values of youth in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Television advertising has become a powerful medium after economic liberalization in India, particularly affecting highly impressionable groups such as youth. The research explores how advertisements shape behaviour, attitudes, socio-psychological thinking, and moral perceptions among college students. A survey method was adopted using convenient and snowball sampling techniques. Data were collected from 500 college students through a structured questionnaire based on selected socially relevant television advertisements such as Tata Tea's "Jaago Re," Ariel's "Share the Load," Surf Excel's "Daag Achhe Hain," and others. The findings reveal that most respondents consider television advertisements as important tools for spreading awareness, promoting moral and ethical values, improving behaviour, and breaking gender stereotypes. A significant percentage of respondents also believe that advertisements positively influence socio-psychological and cultural values. The study further highlights that continuous exposure to television advertisements strongly affects the mindset and lifestyle of youth. Overall, the research concludes that television advertisements play a constructive role in shaping positive social, psychological, and moral behaviour among contemporary youth in Kolkata, while also influencing their attitudes, perceptions, and value systems.

For the sustainability and development of tourism destination tourist satisfaction can play a vital role. It is a popular waterfront destination known for its unique experience. As foreign tourists are visiting this place more emphasis has to be given to develop the infrastructure facility of this area. Quality enhancement must be given prime importance to develop this area into a competitive recognized tourist spot. Extra amenities and waste management has to be looked up seriously to elevate tourist satisfaction. This paper throws light on tourist satisfaction of veli tourist village. The findings point out that waste management, lack of infrastructure such as wash room facility, shopping facility, refreshment facility has to be improved as that sustainability in tourism development can be achieved.

The present investigation was carried out to study the allelopathic effect of different concentrations of leaf and stem leachates of Commelina benghalensis on seed germination and seedling growth. Leachates of leaves and stems were prepared in varying concentrations (20%, 40%, 60% and 80%) and their effects were studied on percentage seed germination, radicle length and plumule length. Distilled water was used as control. The results revealed a concentration-dependent inhibitory effect of both leaf and stem leachates on seed germination and seedling growth. Maximum inhibition was observed at higher concentrations, especially at 80%. Leaf leachate exhibited a stronger inhibitory effect compared to stem leachate in all parameters studied. The study indicates that Commelina benghalensis possesses allelopathic potential due to the presence of allelochemicals which adversely affect seed germination and early seedling development.

The increasing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly energy sources has accelerated the development of hybrid renewable energy systems. This paper presents the design and implementation of a dual power generation system that integrates solar and wind energy to provide a reliable and continuous power supply. The proposed system utilizes an Arduino Uno as the central controller to manage power generation, battery charging, and load operation. A 12 V rechargeable battery is employed for energy storage, while a charging control circuit ensures safe and efficient power management from both energy sources. A light-dependent resistor (LDR) and servo motor are incorporated to enable solar tracking, allowing the solar panel to automatically align with the direction of maximum sunlight, thereby improving energy harvesting efficiency. A voltage sensor continuously monitors the system voltage to protect the battery and connected load. The generated energy is used to power a 40 W load, demonstrating the practical applicability of the system. The experimental results indicate that the hybrid solar-wind approach enhances power availability and system reliability compared to single-source renewable systems, making it suitable for small-scale and off-grid applications.
